star this property answer text <p>The Secretary of State continues to have regular conversations with ministerial colleagues across Government on all aspects of exiting the EU.</p><p>To provide certainty to farmers and landowners, the Government has pledged to commit the same cash total in funds for farm support until the end of this Parliament. This includes health and safety in the workplace and the control of exposure to carcinogens and mutagens. The UK has a tradition of exceeding EU standards. The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 has led to the United Kingdom having one of the best records on health and safety at work in the world. That is why we have proposed reciprocal mobility arrangements with the EU that support businesses to provide services and move their talented people. We also want to discuss how to facilitate the temporary mobility of self-employed professionals and employees providing services.</p><p>The Political Declaration agreed between the UK and the EU negotiating parties specifically acknowledges the importance of mobility for cultural cooperation. The detail of our reciprocal mobility arrangements will be discussed in the next phase of negotiations. In line with procedure under Article 50, these negotiations will not commence until after the UK leaves the EU and we will aim to have arrangements in place at the end of the Implementation Period.</p><p> </p> more like this

The Department has an attendance management policy, and Employee Assistance Programme and a dedicated mental health and wellbeing network who have been leading on a number of wellbeing activities across the Department to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of staff employed in the Department.</p><p>We are not in a position to release this data as individuals may be identifiable due to fewer than 10 individuals being absent in the last 12 months due to stress. The total cost to the Department of all recorded sickness absence in the last financial year was approximately £72k based on the estimated cost of working days lost.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>In the event that we leave the EU without a deal, the costs that EU mobile operators would be able to charge UK operators for providing roaming services would no longer be regulated by the EU. This would mean that surcharge-free roaming when UK consumers travel to the EU, and EU consumers travel to the UK, could no longer be guaranteed. However, the four mobile operators - O2, EE, Three and Vodafone - have all stated they have no current plans to change their approach to mobile roaming for their customers roaming in the EU.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The earliest that the UK can leave without a deal is 31 October 2019. Our priority remains delivering the deal to ensure a smooth and orderly exit before this date. While we do not want to leave with no deal and Parliament has also voted against this outcome three times, it remains the legal default at the end of the extension period in the event a Withdrawal Agreement cannot be agreed. As a responsible government we’ve been preparing to minimise any disruption in the event of no deal for over two years and will continue to prepare for all Brexit scenarios.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union has regular discussions with Cabinet colleagues on preparations for the UK’s departure from the European Union.</p><p>The Government recognises the importance of mobility for the UK’s creative sector and wider economy. The creative industries contributed <a href="https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/759707/DCMS_Sectors_Economic_Estimates_2017__provisional__GVA.pdf" target="_blank">£101.5bn to the UK economy in 2017</a>. That is why, in our White Paper on the UK’s future relationship with the EU, we said that whilst free movement of people will end, we want to agree reciprocal mobility arrangements with the EU that support businesses to provide services and move their talented people, and discuss how to facilitate the temporary mobility of self-employed professionals and employees providing services. The Immigration White Paper sets out the foundation for a single immigration system that will support the UK’s dynamic economy.</p><p>Our proposals for mobility arrangements with the EU are reflected in the Political Declaration on the future relationship, which contains a specific reference to the importance of mobility and temporary movement of objects and equipment in enabling cooperation in the cultural sector. The details will be discussed in the next phase of negotiations.</p><p> </p>
