This includes advice on how to manage fear and anxiety, coping with frustration and tips on how to look after your wellbeing.</p><p>National Health Service mental health services have remained open for business throughout this time and have deployed innovative digital tools to provide ongoing support, including for people experiencing mental ill health as a result of the long-term effects of a COVID-19 infection.</p><p>The Chief Executive of NHS England wrote to NHS organisations on 31 July setting out the third phase of the NHS response to COVID-19. At the Plan for Jobs 2020, the Government announced an ambitious £3.05 billion package including the Green Homes Grant, designed to aid homeowners and landlords retrofit to upgrade the energy and cost efficiency of their homes. At Spring Budget 2020 the Government announced at least £800 million to support Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) in two initial industrial clusters, the first by the mid-2020s and the second by 2030. CCS has the potential to reduce carbon emissions from power plants and factories. And on Tuesday (22 September), Dogger Bank Wind Farm announced the creation of almost 250 jobs in the North East on a project that will be capable of powering up to 4.5m homes when complete.</p><p> </p><p>Our upcoming National Infrastructure Strategy will set out our long-term economic infrastructure ambitions, focusing on decarbonisation and levelling up the nation.</p><p> </p><p>The UK is a global centre for sustainable finance with an established reputation in green finance and a frontrunner in the structuring, underwriting, and listing of green bonds, with more than 100 bonds listed on the London Stock Exchange, raising over $26 billion across eight currencies</p><p> </p><p>The government has been carefully considering the potential issuance of a UK sovereign green bond and will keep this under review. We regularly discuss and share information on research, policy and practical activities with a number of countries, in and beyond Europe, on reported declines and how best to address them.</p><p> </p><p>The UK is a member of ‘Promote Pollinators’, an international coalition of the willing, with 60 members, including countries in Europe and across the world, committed to action to protect pollinators.</p><p> </p><p>We have also supported collaborative international research which has underpinned such initiatives, including a major global review of the status and threats to insect pollinators, published in 2015 by the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.</p><p> </p><p>The UK continues to play a leading role in the development of an ambitious post-2020 global framework for biodiversity to be adopted at the 15<sup>th</sup> Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/11/2023 answer text <p>On 2 November, the effects of Storm Ciaran were seen at Testwood Water Treatment Works in Hampshire. The heavy rainfall and consequent flooding impacted water quality, which meant that it was not possible for the Treatment Works to effectively treat the volume of water needed to maintain supplies. This included to properties in the Waterside area of the New Forest. Southern Water attempted to minimise the impact but as soon as it become apparent that supply would be affected, notifications were provided to customers, through their website and social media.</p><p>Once flooding reduced, Southern Water increased supplies slowly to safeguard safety and drinking water quality standards. Customers had water supply restored gradually over the course of Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November. Arrangements were put in place to support those customers off supply, including the opening of three bottled water stations, and regular deliveries to vulnerable customers.</p><p>Throughout the water supply outage, my officials engaged closely with Southern Water to ensure steps were taken to resolve the incident as soon as possible. I was regularly briefed on the emerging situation and ensured that Southern Water was supporting customers in the impacted area, particularly those who are vulnerable.</p><p>And on 8 November, I met with Lawrence Gosden, CEO Southern Water, to consider what lessons could be learned from this water supply incident and the actions Southern Water are taking avoid future interruptions at Testwood Water Treatment Works. The company is also providing a detailed report to the Drinking Water Inspectorate, who will carry out a full assessment on the event.</p><p>Ensuring a plentiful supply of water is a government priority with our Plan for Water, published in April 2023, setting out how we will enhance water supply infrastructure and improve resilience to drought as well as managing water demand. Earlier this year, regional water resources groups and water companies, including Southern Water, consulted on their draft Water Resource Management Plans. Within their plans, water companies must consider all options, including demand management and water resources infrastructure for at least the next 25 years.</p><p>Water companies are also using the £469 million made available by Ofwat in the current Price Review period (2020-2025) to investigate strategic water resources options, that are required to improve the resilience of England’s water supplies. Ofwat also recently announced that water companies are bringing forward £2.2 billion for new water infrastructure delivery, over the next two years, with £350 million worth of investment in water resilience schemes.</p><p>Where a company does not meet their performance expectations, Ofwat, the independent water regulator, will take decisive regulatory action. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/12/2023 answer text <p>In 2019, the Bailiwick of Jersey, Bailiwick of Guernsey and Isle of Man (the Crown Dependencies) committed to implement publicly accessible registers of beneficial ownership in line with principles adopted by the European Union.</p><p>In December 2022, following the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), the Crown Dependencies issued a statement announcing that they were pausing work on their public commitments while they sought legal advice.</p><p>Currently 14 EU Member States allow public access to their beneficial ownership registers. Gibraltar has maintained a publicly accessible beneficial ownership register since 2020 and has not noted any negative economic impacts resulting from implementation of its public register.</p><p>The UK and the Crown Dependencies have differing legal views on implementing publicly accessible registers in light of the CJEU ruling. The UK is satisfied with the lawfulness of our own publicly accessible registers and continues to believe that the CDs could legally implement public registers of their own.</p><p>The Home Office is actively engaging the Crown Dependencies to understand their position. To claim the exception the claimant will need to provide a completed pro-forma from an approved third party or evidence relating to either a relevant criminal conviction or relevant award of criminal injuries compensation. DWP staff will not question the claimant about the incident, they will only take the claim and receive the supporting documents. Claimants will be asked to confirm that they are not living with the other biological parent of the child during the process of providing evidence. They will not be asked to identify the alleged perpetrator.</p><p>Where a pro-forma is provided from a third party, DWP staff will check that the form is complete and verified by an approved third party. Where other evidence is provided this will be checked and returned to the claimant.</p><p>The decision regarding entitlement to the exception will be subject to the normal mandatory reconsideration and appeal process.</p><p>DWP will hold exception information for the duration of an open claim and then for 14 months after a claim is closed. This is in accordance with standard procedures and to ensure that the 14 month maximum appeal period for decisions is observed.</p><p>Where a claimant moves between Child Tax Credit and Universal Credit, the information with regard to the exception will be shared between DWP and HMRC to prevent the claimant from having to provide evidence for the exception a second time. A secure data transfer method has been set up to manage this process. In the case of an appeal, information will be shared with HMCTS to facilitate the appeal. However, currently this is often not the case. If biodegradable packaging is put in the domestic waste bin, for example, it is likely to end up in landfill and can break down to release powerful greenhouse gases, such as methane. If biodegradable plastic is mistakenly recycled with other plastics, it has the potential to damage the quality of the new products made from the recycled plastic.</p><p> </p><p>As a consequence of these concerns, the Government published a call for evidence in July 2019 to help consider the development of standards or certification criteria for all bio-based, biodegradable, and compostable plastics to better understand their effects on the environment and our current waste system. As we develop our proposals to reform the packaging producer responsibility system we will consider the role of composting, informed by the outputs of this work.</p><p> </p><p>Building on commitments in the Resources and Waste Strategy we launched a consultation earlier this year on reforming the packaging producer responsibility system, which proposed a mandatory UK-wide labelling system that provides clear information to help people to recycle. Defra officials are exploring how a mandatory labelling scheme can address consumer confusion about what to do with compostable packaging. We will take primary powers in the Environment Bill to enable us to implement a mandatory labelling scheme. In the run up to Christmas, NHS England and NHS Improvement extended the campaign with national press advertising.</p><p> </p><p>Local areas have also delivered a range of activities to encourage those in at risk groups to have the vaccine. To increase patient choice, adults who are eligible can also get the vaccine through their local community pharmacy. These include offering overtime and annual leave buy back to examiners, asking all those qualified to conduct tests, but who do not do so as part of their current day job, to return to conducting tests, and conducting out of hours testing (such as on public holidays). The DVSA has also started a recruitment campaign to increase the number of examiners. The aim is to increase testing capacity and reduce the backlog as quickly as possible, whilst maintaining a COVID-secure service for customers and examiners.</p><p> </p><p>As at 10 May 2021, the average waiting time for a practical driving test is (a) England 13.4 weeks, (b) Herefordshire (Hereford driving test centre) 15 weeks, (c) North Herefordshire (Ludlow driving test centre) 14 weeks.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The DVSA is currently recruiting up to 300 new driving examiners. Despite the number of small arms and light weapons available in conflict zones, very few types available pre-conflict or donated by western governments are used by criminals in the UK.</p><p>At the end of the conflict, it is a realistic possibility that some small arms and light weapons will be traded on the European criminal marketplace. The threat is being monitored closely by agencies, in close cooperation with European Partners such as Europol. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/12/2022 answer text <p>The Government has invested more than £50 million in 22 research projects for Post COVID-19 Syndrome to improve understanding and treatment of the condition. We are also monitoring research being undertaken internationally. The National Institute for Health and Care Research welcomes funding applications for research into any aspect of human health, including Post COVID-19 Syndrome.</p><p> </p><p>The reduction of transmission will reduce the prevalence of Post COVID-19 Syndrome, through pharmaceutical interventions such as vaccines and identifying and isolating positive cases and providing advice to the public on how to protect themselves and others. 	question text	To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what estimate his Department has made of the level of funding available to the NHS to tackle waiting lists for blood cancer treatment.

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/06/2022 answer text <p>In 2021, we announced an additional £5.9 billion to support elective recovery, diagnostics and technology in the next three years.
