	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/04/2019 answer text <p>As announced in last year’s loneliness strategy, ‘A connected society - A strategy for tackling loneliness’, and in addition to DCMS’s annual Community Life Survey, the ONS has undertaken further research on childhood loneliness.</p><p> </p><p>The Community Life Survey results for 2017-18, first published in July 2018, showed that 16-34 year olds were more likely to report feeling often or always lonely than those aged over 50. This survey showed that 8% of 16 to 24 year olds feel often or always lonely. In 2018, the Children’s Society found that 11% of 10-15 year olds feel ‘often’ lonely. Most often this involves investments that seek to achieve a financial return for the charity to spend on its aims. This was set out in the Civil Society Strategy and announced by Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office, David Lidington.</p><p> </p><p>This includes a project to extend the application of the Social Value Act across central government departments from services to also include goods and works. We have consulted with stakeholders to inform this training and will undertake further engagement in February. We anticipate the training programme to roll out later this year.</p><p> </p><p>We have already published an introductory guide to social value that we continue to actively promote across government and to stakeholders.
