It was also clear that Government wants to see sport’s inspirational impact have as broad a reach as possible.<p /><p>UK Sport studies show the motivational power of sport, with two thirds of the British public saying they have been inspired by the success of our Olympic and Paralympic teams and 40% of these people being motivated to do more sport or active recreation than normal.</p><p>Government welcomes the BBC's announcement that it will stream over 1000 hours of extra sport a year. Along with the BBC Connected Sport app, this will allow greater access for fans across the country to view sport. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/09/2019 answer text <p>Ahead of closure Child Support Agency send customers a series of letters advising about their case closing and what they can do should they want child maintenance payments to continue. This advice includes making an advance application to the Child Maintenance Service, t o ensure there are no breaks in child maintenance.</p><p> </p><p>When the Child Support Agency case is closed, we write to non-resident parent during the stage where we are confirming the arrears position, to remind them of the amount we have worked out they owe. We advise them to contact us if they have any other relevant information which would impact this. A letter is then sent to receiving parent advising we have confirmed their balance of child maintenance. Where child maintenance is owed, we ask if the balance is correct and if they want their arrears written off or managed by Child Maintenance Service. Parents are provided with contact details to discuss their case, at all points.</p><p> </p><p>In cases where the arrears are moved to Child Maintenance Service, a letter is sent to both parties confirming their Child Support Agency case is fully closed. We also advise the unpaid child maintenance is now being managed by Child Maintenance Service. This provides the parent with the new telephone number they will need if they wish to contact Child Maintenance Service.</p><p> </p><p>Where there is a new Child Maintenance Service case, which was previously a Child Support Agency case, the calculation can change. This is because it is a fresh start under the new service, with new rules and data.</p><p> </p><p>At the outset of a Child Maintenance Service case, we issue an indicative calculation letter to the parents. This explains the new calculation, including the information used in the calculation. This provides opportunity for the non-resident parent to provide any further information that would impact the calculation. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/11/2019 answer text <p>All clients, regardless of their role within the scheme, have the right to request a decision be reconsidered by the Child Maintenance Service (CMS). Mandatory reconsideration rights only apply to decisions relating to child maintenance liability. The standard timescale in which a revision may be requested is within 30 days of the date of notification of the decision. Our policy is that a mandatory reconsideration will only happen once in respect of any particular decision, after which a client accrues the right to appeal to an independent tribunal.</p><p> </p><p>If a client requests a mandatory reconsideration, their child maintenance liability will remain in place as usual until a decision is made. Where a mandatory reconsideration or appeal is ongoing, the Service will continue to attempt collection of any debt that is not covered by the appeal. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/10/2019 answer text <p>An assessment of the decision to use gross income to calculate child maintenance liabilities was carried out when we developed the 2012 statutory scheme.</p><p> </p><p>It is important that the rules used to calculate a child maintenance liability are applied consistently to avoid the complexities for clients that would result from applying different rules to different parts of the UK. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/07/2019 answer text <p>As announced in last year’s loneliness strategy, ‘A connected society - A strategy for tackling loneliness’, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, has partnered with the Local Government Association to run a series of pilots to explore how local authorities and their partners can capture and share information on local activities and support that might help to tackle loneliness.</p><p>Partners across local government, digital experts and representatives from the voluntary sector have helped to shape the scope of the pilots. Building on existing work carried out with local authorities to provide quality assured categorised place-wide service data, these pilots will seek to test and refine data standards and taxonomies, investigate ways of collecting information to make them more efficient, accurate and sustainable, and explore how stakeholders from a range of sectors can be motivated to capture this data and keep it up to date.
