<p>Public Health England (PHE) publishes national statistics on four healthcare and
hospital acquired infections; Clostridium difficile infections (CDI), Methicillin-resistant
staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), methicillin sensitive staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) and
Escherichia coli (E. coli).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The data from the last 10 years,
where available, can be found in the Annual Epidemiological Commentary: Mandatory
MRSA, MSSA and E. coli bacteraemia and C. difficile infection data 2016/17 available
