star this property answer text <p>I am pleased to confirm that a series of Lethality Validation and Verification firings took place between 28 September to 8 November in support of the Ajax Programme. A total of 1,780 40mm rounds and more than 15,000 7.62mm rounds have been fired against a mixture of static and moving targets, including the Ajax vehicle firing on the move. More firing trials are planned in the coming months.</p><p> </p><p>I would further refer the right hon. star this property answer text <p>In addition to extant Army wide driver and crew working hours controls, trial activity duration is not time bound but is carefully monitored to ensure that Army crews remain within the lower action values of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 and the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 throughout the planned activity. User Validation Trials are conducted under a safe system of work that implements these action value controls endorsed by the Safety Assurance Panel. This includes UTAC-Millbrook providing live monitoring of crew noise and vibration exposure levels.</p><p> </p><p>Army crews are not required to undertake neurological tests as part of the trial protocol.</p> more like this

While repairs are undertaken, she has retained her fully trained crew in order to maintain the many systems onboard and to quickly deploy once repairs are complete.</p><p> </p><p>Of that crew, 165 Service personnel are currently supporting Military Aid to Civil Authorities and a small number have been or are being provided on a short-term loan to other Platforms.</p> more like this

Further Royal Navy staff are working to rectify the defect as part of their wider duties, but the numbers of these staff cannot be ascertained in the time available.
