The ambition is that by 2020, 95% of those referred will start treatment within one week if the case is urgent and four weeks if the case is non-urgent.</p><p> </p><p>The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) published its updated clinical guideline for the recognition and treatment of eating disorders for people of all ages in May 2017. It is available at:</p><p> </p><p><a href="http://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng69" target="_blank">www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng69</a></p><p>A pathway for adults with eating disorders, together with detailed implementation guidance for providers, will be developed by the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health in partnership with NICE over 2017/18. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/09/2017 answer text <p>The Department has asked the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) to update its clinical guideline on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The draft guideline, which was published for consultation on 6 September, provides evidence based recommendations on the diagnosis and management of ADHD in children, young people and adults.</p><p> </p><p>The draft guideline recognises that this condition is less likely to be diagnosed in girls and women or that they may be given an incorrect diagnosis as they are more likely to present with symptoms other than hyperactivity. The guideline advises practitioners to be alert in such circumstances to the possibility of ADHD.</p><p> </p><p>We expect clinical commissioning groups to take account of clinical guidelines published by NICE when commissioning services for their local populations. Similarly, the cost to the NHS of accommodating patients who cannot be discharged due to a lack of disabled housing is not collected centrally.</p><p> </p><p>However, the Government publishes monthly data on the number of delayed transfers of care, broken down by the reason for delay. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/09/2017 answer text <p>Health Education England (HEE) has worked closely with the Royal College of Psychiatrists to develop Stepping Forward to 2020/21: the mental health workforce plan for England, which was published on 31 July 2017.</p><p> </p><p>Since 2012, the number of trainee doctors working in mental health settings during their foundation programme has more than doubled, but the expected growth in demand for mental health services means that attracting more United Kingdom medical school graduates into both core and higher psychiatry training is essential.</p><p> </p><p>HEE has committed to working with the Royal Colleges, trainees and mental health charities to develop an action plan to attract and retain more clinicians to work in mental health services and psychiatry.
