star this property answer text <p>This Government is investing over £1bn to modernise our courts and tribunals, including investment to improve the civil justice system.</p><p> </p><p>The Online Civil Money Claims pilot, is a new service which went live in March 2018, and allows people to resolve money disputes online, for claims of up to £10,000. The digital service allows the public to simply and swiftly make their claim and the system is designed to be clear and easy to use. To date, the overall user satisfaction rate is 87% with over 68,000 claims made.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>We are committed to improving station accessibility and have continued with the Access for All programme which has delivered more than 160 accessible routes at stations. We will be making further funding available in the next Rail Control Period (2019-24) and stations across the West Midlands will be eligible. Further details will be announced as soon as possible. In addition, whenever the industry installs, replaces or renews station infrastructure it must meet current accessibility standards.</p> more like this

The Department for Transport can confirm that no applications were made by third parties into Network Rail’s New Stations Fund for stations at these sites. In addition the Franchisee will also be providing an additional facility in the form of a customer information point, bringing back into use a currently redundant part of the station. As I said when publishing the Study, will we continue to support Network Rail in further developing and refining the proposals. star this property answer text <p>The Department is still undertaking a process of information gathering to develop the specification for the next East Midlands rail franchise.</p><p> </p><p>All options for future East Midlands services are subject to analysis of the potential benefits and consultation with stakeholders, which is currently ongoing. We are considering the case for additional services to Luton Airport and are working collaboratively with Luton Airport to understand their proposals. Any outcome will seek to secure the best value for money for the taxpayer, be in the best interests of passengers and the decisions will be taken using economic analysis, which includes social and environmental impacts.</p><p> </p><p>The formal public consultation continues until 11 October and will inform the specification, I would strongly encourage the honourable Member to make his views known through the consultation process before it closes.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Best value for the taxpayer in the introduction of compensation for delays from 15 minutes is likely to be achieved through franchise competitions as bidders will have incentives to deliver this at a competitive price. This is why the Department will be introducing the new policy through competition, where a competition is underway or is planned.</p><p> </p><p>The Department will work with the franchise operators to agree how and when these improvements will be implemented, where this does not apply, ensuring the best possible deal for passengers and taxpayers. The full roll out in these cases will be dependent on the Department reaching a commercial agreement with the existing franchise operators.</p> more like this
