star this property answer text <p>My Noble Friend the Minister of State for Trade and Export Promotion (Baroness Fairhead), will lead the creation of a new export strategy, bringing together expertise from across Government and the private sector.</p><p>This strategy will ensure that Government has the right financial, practical and promotional support in place to allow businesses to benefit from growth opportunities, generating wealth and wellbeing for the whole of the UK.</p><p>In addition, the Government will launch a targeted campaign to promote the support available from UK Export Finance (UKEF), as part of the wider GREAT campaign.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Work is currently underway to develop the appropriate methodology for constructing normal value in dumping investigations in cases where domestic prices are inappropriate. Work is also underway examining the options for calculating injury.</p><p>We expect this process to take some months, but we will discuss our thinking with interested parties as it develops and will continue to engage with a range of stakeholders on the detail of trade remedies policy as we have done since the summer.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Trade remedies are an EU competence. It is for industry to demonstrate <em>prima facie</em> evidence of dumping that is causing material injury to EU producers, to the European Commission. We encourage industry to present this evidence to the Commission, where there is evidence of dumping and material injury. Where evidence is sufficient to justify an investigation, the Commission will do so and present any proposals for applying duties to Member States.</p><p> </p><p>The EU currently has 45 measures in place against steel or steel products, 19 of which are against China. As we operate our independent trade policy, we will put in place our own trade remedies framework.</p> more like this
