unstar this property answer text <p>The Government has now reached agreement with the EU on an extension until 31 October at the latest, with the option to leave earlier as soon as a deal has been ratified. We believe that leaving with a deal is the best outcome and remain focused on ensuring our smooth and orderly withdrawal from the EU, while also continuing to prepare for all scenarios. The Government will consult widely on the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. However, it is right that we continue to review our approach accordingly.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The Government will create the UK Shared Prosperity Fund once we have left the European Union. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund will strengthen the foundations of productivity as set out in our modern Industrial Strategy to support people to benefit from economic prosperity. This new Fund will ensure that investments are targeted effectively to align with the challenges faced by places, creating a fresh opportunity to focus investment according to our own priorities. We are continuing to work on the design and priorities and we will consult widely on the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This will give all interested parties the chance to contribute their views to Government. Final decisions are due to be made during the Spending Review.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>Our objective has always been to have a functioning statute book in place by Exit Day and to ensure that the most critical secondary legislation was made by this point.</p><p>My Department successfully made all of its intended EU exit SIs before April 12. My Department will continue to assess the implications of our departure from the EU on our legislation, and will continue to make the necessary amendments to ensure the a fully functioning statute book.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>Following the submission of expressions of interest to the Housing Infrastructure Fund the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and the Department for Transport worked with Oxfordshire County Council to develop their bids.</p><p>It was then for Oxfordshire County Council to determine which strategic, high-impact infrastructure interventions, that will unlock housing, to include in their final business cases.</p><p>I am delighted that the government recently awarded Oxfordshire County Council £218 million of funding from the Housing Infrastructure Fund for the Access to Didcot Garden Town scheme that includes improving cycling provision.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>My Department is not providing specific support for the Palmer Lane project in Coventry.</p><p>However, through the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) the Government has invested over £131 million of Local Growth Funding into Coventry and Warwickshire, which is supporting 16 projects across the region. This is forecast to deliver 7,500 new jobs, 3,400 new homes and bring in a total of £240 million of investment. The Government has additionally announced a new Stronger Towns Fund, a £1.6 billion fund to support towns in England to harness their unique strengths to grow and prosper.</p><p>Following our departure from the European Union, we will create the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), a programme of investment to tackle inequalities between communities by raising productivity and which will invest across the foundations of productivity, identified in our Industrial Strategy.</p><p>The Coventry and Warwickshire LEP continues to identify projects which can bring additional growth and jobs to the region.</p>

unstar this property answer text <p>The Government is committed to building a housing market which works for everyone. We recognise that for too many people home-ownership is affordable. Addressing this affordability challenge requires building the homes our country needs. That is why we intend to deliver 300,000 homes per year, the largest annual increase in housing supply since the 1970s.</p><p>Since 2010, over half a million households have been helped to purchase a home through government backed schemes including Help to Buy and Right to Buy. The recent Evaluation of Help to Buy: Equity Loan from 2015 to 2017 found that 63 per cent of first-time buyers benefiting from the scheme were under 35 years old.</p><p>Building on this, the 2017 Autumn Budget announced a new stamp duty land tax relief benefiting 95 per cent of first time buyers who pay it – over 18,500 have been helped so far.</p> more like this
