	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/03/2014 answer text <p>[holding answer 20 March 2014]</p><p>I refer the Honourable Member to my reply of 13 March 2014, Official Report, column 326W.</p><p> </p><p>The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Command is fully integrated within the National Crime Agency (NCA). As part of the NCA, the CEOP Command is able to draw on the whole of the NCA's resources. The NCA works as a flexible organisation and as such there will be NCA officers whose work covers a range of serious and organised crime threats.</p><p> </p><p>In total the NCA has 1,900 officers who currently hold arrest powers who can be called upon to tackle child exploitation. The offer of a speed awareness course is at the discretion of the police. To be deemed eligible there must be no excessive speed or other offences committed at the same time. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/03/2014 answer text <p>The Government takes the issue of domestic violence very seriously and is committed to ensuring greater protection for victims of all forms of violence.</p><p> </p><p>The issue raised by the Eve's Law campaign is complex and cuts across a number of justice jurisdictions, and into many areas of a victim's interaction with the state and other agencies.</p><p> </p><p>Having considered the issues raised by the campaign this Department is not persuaded that primary legislation is the necessary and appropriate way forward. One of the key strengths of the approach is that the local model should be responsive to local needs and priorities as identified by the agencies and the partners in the area. The Government takes very seriously all matters relating to the sexual abuse of children. Those who commit sexual offences are more likely to go to prison now than in 2010.</p><p> </p><p>The number of defendants convicted of offences under section 1 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 where the victim was a child under 16, together with all offences under sections 2, 5, 6 and 7 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 can be viewed in the table. As the Sexual Offences Act 2003 replaced the Sexual Offences Act 1956 for these offences all proceedings reflect that Act too, as per the footnote.</p><p> </p><p>Statistics in respect of victims of offences under section 2 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 cannot be broken down by age.</p><p> </p><p>Also, my department's Court Proceedings Database holds information on criminal justice statistics only in England and Wales. Criminal Justice Statistics in Northern Ireland are a matter for the Department of Justice in Northern Ireland.
