	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/01/2024 answer text <p>We continue to maximise opportunities to raise awareness of Pension Credit which provides vital financial support to households on a low income. Our Pension Credit Communications campaign, ongoing since April 2022, has included advertising on national TV, newspapers, broadcast radio, on social media and via internet search engines as well as on screens in Post Offices and GP surgeries. We have also used sponsored advertising on targeted websites that pensioners, their family, and friends are likely to visit.</p><p>Our latest campaign messaging highlighted that Pension Credit can be worth up to £3,900 on average and is a passport to a range of other help and benefits – including Cost of Living payments. <br></p><p>There is a strong indication that the campaign has had a positive impact and has resulted in an unprecedented number of Pension Credit applications. The number of claims received in the financial 2022-23 was more than 80% higher than over the same period the year before.</p><p>The latest available figures covering the three months to May 2023 show an increase in the Pension Credit caseload. More households were receiving Pension Credit in May 2023 than in May 2022 at the beginning of the campaign. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/01/2024 answer text <p>The Work at Height Regulations 2005 set out the approach necessary to ensure the safety of people working at height. They place clear responsibilities on employers and those in control of any work at height to prevent falls by making sure work is properly planned, supervised, and undertaken by competent people. This includes using the right type of equipment including, where suitable, ladders.</p><p> </p><p>In 2022/23, 40 fatal injuries were due to falls from a height accounting for 30% of all worker deaths<sup>1 </sup>over the year. The level of fatality and major injury arising from falls is still high so there is an ongoing need for the regulations to focus attention on the issue.</p><p> </p><p>Following the announcement of the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill, Heath and Safety engagement with industry groups and trade organisations demonstrated extensive support to retain the Work at Height Regulations. The supporting measures would include improved rail access to the airport and we are actively looking at what we could do to accelerate these.</p><p> </p><p>The next step for the proposed Southern Rail Access is a GRIP 1-2 study to permit informed option appraisal. For the peak three hours, the arrivals into Waterloo are 119,100 and rises to 123,500 by 2023/24. That is why we are currently investing in the Waterloo and South West upgrade programme, which will provide space for 30 per cent more passengers during the busiest times of the day.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government recognises the case for further capacity improvements in London and the South East, such as those that Crossrail 2 could deliver. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/09/2017 answer text <p>Agreement in principle was reached with the Welsh Government last year that they would be given a combination of statutory executive franchising functions within Wales, and agency powers of the Secretary of State in relation to the English component of the franchise, in order that that they could procure and manage a new franchise of similar geographic scope, while ensuring the Secretary of State’s accountability for rail operations within England.</p><p>In order to facilitate the timely progression of the Welsh Government’s procurement, the Secretary of State entered into the first of a planned series of agency agreements with Welsh Ministers in October last year. Each agreement will set out relevant conditions to protect the Secretary of State’s interests in the English component of the franchise (including the English component of cross-border services).
