The United Kingdom’s ability to import medical isotopes from Europe and the rest of the world will not be affected by withdrawal from Euratom. It is in everyone’s interest to not disrupt the timely access of treatment to patients and to ensure that cross-border trade with the European Union and Euratom is as frictionless as possible.
more like this

This reflects the changes to maximum fines which may be imposed on summary conviction in England and Wales under the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012. In Scotland and Northern Ireland, fines cannot exceed Level 5 of the Standard Scale. The Government has no plans to take or recommend other disciplinary action against firms or individual persons.
more like this

Caroline Dinenage, the previous Minister for Women and Equalities, met with Be Real following the launch of their toolkit, to thank them for their important work and discuss how we can best support young people’s body image.

In 2015 the Government funded the PSHE Association to develop and publish key standards on teaching about body image in schools, which I referred to in my previous answer. That includes a list of resources on body image that have been accredited by the PSHE Association, and the Be Real body confidence toolkit has received that accreditation and so is included within the key standards resource. The PSHE Association is a trusted source for teachers and schools, and I am confident that this is an important way to support the promotion of the Be Real resource to schools.
more like this

In the case of Airbnb and other similar web-based accommodation providers, we consider the Order would apply during the period where paying guests were staying. That is because, during this period, the property would no longer be occupied as a single private dwelling.

Under the Order, the responsible person (usually the owner or building manager) is required to undertake a fire risk assessment and put in place fire precautions that are adequate and appropriate to manage the risk that lives could be lost in a fire.

Fire and rescue authorities are the enforcing authorities for the Fire Safety Order in such accommodation. They are required to have a risk based inspection programme and management strategy in place to ensure compliance with the Fire Safety Order within their area.
