star this property answer text <p>Government departments have been analysing the UK statute book and directly applicable EU law in their areas of responsibility to enable an assessment of the scale of the changes needed. This is likely to include the repeal, but also the amendment, of provisions in Acts but we are not in a position to give a sense of scale at this time.</p><p> </p><p>In the Government White Paper on the Repeal Bill, <em>Legislating for the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union</em>, published on 30 March 2017, we estimated around 800 - 1,000 EU-exit related Statutory Instruments will be required.</p> more like this

The Department for Exiting the European Union is doing detailed work with departments to understand the risks and opportunities of leaving the EU and to coordinate planning. A team within the Government Equalities Office (GEO) leads on providing advice to ministers on EU Exit and exit-related issues. Members of GEO staff provide advice and analysis on EU Exit issues across a range of policy areas affecting women and equalities, as required.</p><p> </p><p>Given the interactions between EU exit work and GEO’s other priorities, it is not possible to give an accurate figure specifically for work on EU exit.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Officials at the Department for Education hold regular discussions with officials in the devolved administrations about the issue of sanitary protection provision in schools; the last meeting on this topic was held in November 2017 and the next discussion is due take place in January 2018. My hon. Friend, the Minister for Women and Equalities has not met her counterpart in the Scottish Government but has been updated on the discussions held. Officials in the Scottish Government have committed to update the Department for Education on all relevant initiatives, including their Aberdeen pilot when information about its impact and affordability becomes available.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government Equalities Office has contracted the Behavioural Improvement Team (BIT) to carry out research over the period from January 2017 until July 2018 into parental decision-making concerning the sharing of childcare responsibilities and return to work. As part of this project, the BIT is also designing interventions to test which factors encourage parents to equalise the gender balance of work and childcare responsibilities.</p> more like this
