It encouraged people to tell their doctor if they noticed any unusual or persistent changes to their skin. It ran until 27 July 2014 and included adverts in the press and on local radio, as well as some direct mail to the target group.</p><p> </p><p>Skin Cancer awareness month is an annual awareness campaign that takes place every May. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the dangers of unprotected sun exposure and educate the public about the ways to help prevent skin cancer.</p><p>The Sunbeds (Regulation) Act 2010 came into force in April 2011 in England and Wales to prohibit under-18s from using sunbeds.</p><p> </p><p>Public Health England (PHE) contributed to the revision of the World Health Organization publication “Artificial tanning devices - Public health interventions to manage sunbeds”, which was published in 2017. The PhIF has supported a range of initiatives, including:</p><p>- Recruitment and training of pharmacists to support integrated urgent care services, offering patients and care staff direct access to clinical advice and care from pharmacists;</p><p>- Putting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians into the multi-disciplinary teams delivering enhanced health in care homes, to support medicines optimisation for people who live in care homes;</p><p>- The development of an urgent medicines supply service. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2019 answer text <p>Prior to the change of the law on 1 November 2018, only cannabis-based products that had been given a marketing authorisation (product licence) by the medicines regulators, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) or European Medicines Agency could be prescribed. Before issuing a marketing authorisation the MHRA accesses all the available evidence on efficacy and safety arising out of pre-clinical research and clinical trials and evidence and information supplied by the manufacturer. The regulators also inspect the factory where the medicine is to be made, to make sure that supplies will be of a uniformly and consistently high standard.</p><p> </p><p>The following cannabis-based products and related products received a marketing authorisation in the United Kingdom/European Union before 1 November 2018:</p><p> </p><p>- Sativex - (produced by GW Pharmaceuticals) containing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol - holds a licence for spasticity in multiple sclerosis; and</p><p>- Nabilone - (multiple manufacturers) which contains a synthetic, non-natural cannabinoid which mimics THC, holds a marketing authorisation for nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, Epidiolex (also produced by GW Pharmaceuticals from cannabis) for two severe forms of intractable epilepsy (Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome or Dravet Syndrome), is currently being considered for a marketing authorisation by the European Medicines Agency.</p><p> </p><p>The change in the law allows the prescription, by specialist doctors on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register, of cannabis-based products that have not been through this rigorous process but that meet certain quality standards in cases where all licensed products have been considered and discounted and it is in the best interest of the patient. For PCNs to be successful they will need to work in partnership with local people and the communities they serve. Legal duties which currently apply to NHS service providers - including general practitioner practices - and commissioners around engagement and consultation will continue to be valid for PCNs.</ins></p></ins></p><p><del class="ministerial">NHS England and NHS Improvement, together with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, is developing a ’commercial framework’ setting out the parameters for the commercial approach for medicines in the health service in England.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">The commercial framework will support a single, transparent, robust and integrated pricing and market access process, and is being tested with and informed through consultation with stakeholders including the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">In preparation for public consultation in the coming months, NHS England is actively engaging with industry trade bodies and health system partners, in the first instance, to outline progress on the development of the commercial framework. The AKT is a summative assessment of the knowledge base that underpins general practice in the United Kingdom within the context of the National Health Service and is a key part of general practitioner’s qualifying exams.</p><p>No specific assessment has been made on the adequacy of access to specialist rheumatologists, however the National institute for Health and Care Excellence’s (NICE) Quality Standard ‘Rheumatoid arthritis in over 16s’, updated in July 2018, emphasises the need for early for urgent referral to a specialist rheumatologist on suspicion of rheumatoid arthritis within three weeks.</p><p>In May 2018, a new three-year Rheumatoid and Early Inflammatory Arthritis Audit was commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership. The Audit aims to improve the quality of care for people living with inflammatory arthritis, collecting information on all new patients over the age of 16 in specialist rheumatology departments with suspected inflammatory arthritis in England and Wales using criteria derived from sources, including the NICE rheumatoid arthritis Quality Standard. This data only became required from April 2018 as part of the Public Health England Cancer Outcomes and Services Dataset therefore figures from before this date will be incomplete. A baseline survey of NHS trusts for January to March 2017 indicated that around 30% of blood cancer patients are offered an HNA. People can of course, raise concerns at any time with their general practitioner or hospital team, not just when an HNA is being done. This should lead to actions being agreed in a personalised care and support plan that includes appropriate action to support the person with their psychosocial or mental health needs. Public Health England’s latest e-cigarette evidence review published in February 2019 indicates regular youth use of electronic cigarettes remains low. Unlike with many adult cancers, lifestyle-related risk factors (such as smoking) do not influence a young person’s risk of developing cancer so cancers are less preventable. The small increase in incidence therefore reflects changes in demographics rather than relative risk of having cancer at any given age.</p><p>As such, our focus is on research and ensuring that children and young people get the very best treatment and care if they do develop cancer. The NHS Long Term Plan has a series of commitments to improve outcomes for all cancer patients, including children and young people with cancer. For example, the National Health Service will actively support children and young people to take part in clinical trials, so that participation among children remains high, and among teenagers and young adults rises to 50% by 2025. It is for individual local authorities to decide their spending priorities based on an assessment of local need, including the need for sexual health services taking account of their statutory duties. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/06/2019 answer text <p>The Government has mandated local authorities to commission comprehensive open access sexual health services. Local authorities are best placed to understand and meet the public health needs of their local communities.</p><p>Data published by Public Health England shows that more people are accessing sexual health services, with attendances increasing by 7% between 2017 and 2018. This continues the trend of increases in attendances seen over the past five years. To help manage the overall rising demand, local authorities are increasingly commissioning online services to manage lower risk and asymptomatic patients. These services also have the potential to reach groups not currently engaged with clinic services.
