We intend to build the second prison at Glen Parva using private finance.</p><p> </p><p>We will explore funding routes, including private finance, for the delivery of the remaining prison places. The financing models, timetable and costs for these will be dependent on the relevant value for money and affordability tests, planning permissions and commercial negotiations. The government remains committed to the delivery of these places, which will enable governors to achieve better educational, training and rehabilitative outcomes.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>In 2016 the government consulted on changes to driving offences and penalties relating to causing death or serious injury. In the response to the consultation, published in 2017, the government made clear that it does not propose to make any changes to the legal definitions of careless and dangerous driving. But it does propose to increase the maximum penalties for causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless driving when under the influence of drink or drugs from 14 years’ imprisonment to life, and to create a new offence of causing serious injury by careless driving.</p> more like this
