This includes an increase in mental health spending of £4.6 billion between 2018/19 and 2023/24, compared to the original £3.4 billion set out at the time of the NHS Long Term Plan’s publishing. Of this, £57 million has been specifically for suicide prevention and suicide bereavement services in all areas of the country. Future funding beyond the Long Term Plan is yet to be determined. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/11/2023 answer text <p>The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR) are made under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and apply to all sectors and workplaces in Great Britain.</p><p> </p><p>Under RIDDOR, at Regulation 6, requires the responsible person to report:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Any death as a result of a work-related accident;</li><li>Any death resulting from occupational exposure to a biological agent; and</li><li>Any death caused by a reportable injury where death occurs within a year of the accident.</li></ul><p> </p><p>A suicide would not meet the criteria for reporting under RIDDOR as it is not a death resulting from a work related accident or occupational exposure. An ‘accident’ is defined under RIDDOR as an unforeseen and unintentional incident.</p><p> </p><p>Suicides will be considered in an Inquest conducted by a Coroner or Procurator Fiscal (in Scotland) who will make the decision whether the death was ‘suicide’. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/09/2023 answer text <p>We recently launched our Suicide Prevention Grant Fund, which makes £10 million available over the next two years to support suicide prevention activities delivered in England by voluntary, community or social enterprise organisations.</p><p>The fund will help non-profit organisations in meeting the increased demand seen in recent years and assist a range of diverse and innovative activity that can prevent suicides, both at a national and community level.
