star this property answer text <p>The department is aware that students, staff and providers are concerned about what EU Exit means for study and collaboration opportunities. To help give certainty, in July 2018, the department announced guarantees on student finance for EU nationals.</p><p>These guarantees are not altered if the UK leaves the EU without a deal. EU nationals (and their family members) who start a course in England in the 2019/20 academic year or before, will continue to be eligible for ‘home fee’ status and student finance support from Student Finance England for the duration of their course, provided they meet the residency requirement.</p><p> </p> more like this

Data for the 2017 application cycle shows there were 187,470 applications from EU domiciled applicants, which is above the 157,170 applications made in 2010, but lower than the 202,250 applications in 2016. star this property answer text <p>The Government announced on 11 October 2016 that EU students applying for a place at an English university or further education institution in the 2017/2018 academic year will continue to be eligible for student loans and grants - and will be for the duration of their course.</p><p>The decision will mean that students applying to study from 2017 to 2018 will not only be eligible for the same funding and support as they are now, but that their eligibility will continue throughout their course, even if the UK exits the European Union during that period.</p><p>The Government statement on student support for EU students can be found at:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/news/funding-support-for-eu-students" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/news/funding-support-for-eu-students</a></p> more like this
