Only individuals with a UK bank account are eligible to buy NS&amp;I products. In the event of independence, the current rules would prohibit individuals with only a Scottish bank account from buying NS&amp;I products. </strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Any changes to these rules would depend on negotiations between the UK and Scottish governments in the event of independence.
