star this property answer text <p>As a result of UK Government decisions at this Budget, the Northern Ireland Executive’s Barnett-based resource budget will increase by over £70 million and its capital budget by over £130 million in 2020-21.</p><p> </p><p>This is on top of the £430 million of additional funding for 2020-21 provided at Spending Round 2019. All these additional Barnett consequentials are separate to the funding agreed by the Government in the financial annex to the Confidence and Supply Agreement.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>As a result of decisions taken at Spring Budget, the Northern Ireland Executive will receive around £100 million through the Barnett formula.</p><p> </p><p>The Chancellor of the Exchequer also announced £20 million of funding for each of Derry-Londonderry and Coleraine through the Long-Term Plan for Towns, £2 million of funding to boost global investment and trade opportunities in Northern Ireland, and £2.2 million for the redevelopment of the South Stand at Crusaders FC in Belfast into a unique state of the art community centre.</p><p> </p><p>Northern Ireland will also benefit from UK-wide tax and spending measures.</p> more like this

The Executive have been aware of the level of the deduction since March 2014.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Following the exceptional access to the reserve granted to the Northern Ireland Executive in 2014-15, the Executive’s 2015-16 allocation has been reduced by £100m in 2015-16 in accordance with normal budgetary procedures.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>These deductions will be reflected in the control totals published alongside departmental Main Supply Estimates for 2015-16.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>As set out in the Statement of Funding Policy, the Northern Ireland Executive are able to move funding between financial years through Budget Exchange. The total level of 2020-21 underspends will not be known until the end of the financial year and normal practice would be for the NIE to notify HMT of how it intends to use it’s budget exchange flexibilities at Supplementary Estimates 2021-22.</p><p> </p><p>However, due to the exceptional circumstances this year, HM Treasury has worked closely with all three devolved administrations to provide additional flexibility. As a result the Northern Ireland Executive can now carry forward into 2021-22 over £300m of Barnett-based funding, as well as any business rates relief repaid, on top of Budget Exchange.</p> more like this
