star this property answer text <p>A wide range of offences already exist which cover assaults against any worker, and a change in the law is not needed.</p><p>The current sentencing guidelines include an aggravating factor for an assault committed against a person who is providing a service to the public, such as a shop worker. star this property answer text <p>The Prevent Programme is fundamentally about safeguarding and supporting vulnerable individuals to stop them from becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism. In June, the Prime Minister outlined the Government’s commitment to review the UK’s counter-terrorism strategy (CONTEST), drawing on lessons learned from the recent attacks earlier this year. As the threat we face from terrorism becomes more complex, our strategy needs to evolve with it. The Prevent Strategy is being assessed as part of this review.</p> more like this

Those who need international protection should claim asylum in the first safe country they reach.</p><p>We are taking action to help those affected by the situation in Afghanistan. Our new resettlement scheme will welcome Afghans most at risk, prioritising women, girls, religious and other minorities, so they can rebuild their lives safely in the UK.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Mr Speaker, with your permission, I would like to group this question with question 31.</p><p>Throughout this pandemic, we have worked with the Domestic Abuse Commissioner and charities to protect those for who home is not a safe space. We have paid £25.76 million to domestic abuse organisations from the funds allocated in the first wave of the pandemic, in order to support their helplines and other services. That includes £20,512 for Your Housing Group, based in the honourable lady’s constituency, to provide additional bedspaces.</p><p>We have also allocated an additional £11 million to domestic abuse and sexual violence services to help them to deal with increased pressures as a result of the pandemic.</p> more like this
