	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/05/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>Mogden Sewage Treatment Works has an Environmental Permit issued by the Environment Agency to discharge treated and storm effluent to the Thames Estuary at Isleworth. The discharge of storm effluent is permissible only when the capacity of onsite facilities for treatment and containment are exceeded. This includes a 77,000m³ storm tank.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The permit does not specify a number of spills per year. It requires the works to provide secondary treatment for a specific flow rate of incoming sewage.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The current version of the permit came into effect on 31 March 2013. During the subsequent 12 months, Thames Water reported 54 occasions when the works discharged storm sewage to the Thames. This Government has pressed for better information for consumers during negotiations relating to food labelling in Europe.</p><p> </p><p>Food businesses are ultimately responsible for ensuring their products' safety and accurate labelling. However, Government departments and agencies back this up with more than 80,000 risk-based checks per year.In addition, Defra develops validated testing methods under its Food Authenticity Programme to check whether a product has been mislabelled or contaminated. Rights of way are the primary means by which people access the countryside and engage in outdoor recreation, which is good for health and well-being and good for the economy.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Maintenance of rights of way is the statutory responsibility of local authorities. The North York Moors National Park Authority is an independent body and its agreements with local authorities are for it to decide. The MPS sets out the policy objectives for key activities taking place in the marine environment. This includes an assessment of marine aggregate resources, potential impacts from extraction activities and issues for consideration by decision-makers. Within English waters marine aggregate extraction activities are regulated by the Marine Management Organisation.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Government, regulators, The Crown Estate and the British Marine Aggregate Producers Association (BMAPA) have collaborated on an extensive programme of research (over £25 million in ten years) into understanding and minimising the environmental impacts of aggregates dredging. Following the completion of that programme BMAPA and The Crown Estate recently commissioned and published Aggregate Dredging and the Marine Environment – an overview of recent research and current industry practice. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/04/2014 answer text <p> </p><p /> <p>The Government warmly welcomes the Elephant Protection Initiative (EPI), launched at the London Conference on the Illegal Wildlife Trade in February 2014 by the Presidents of Botswana, Chad, Gabon and Tanzania, and the Foreign Minister of Ethiopia.</p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p>Through the EPI, these Governments are committing to:</p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p>· observing an extended moratorium on consideration of future international ivory trade</p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p>· closing domestic ivory markets</p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p>· putting all ivory stockpiles (both seized ‘illegal' and ‘legal' ivory accrued from elephant mortality) beyond economic use.</p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p>In response to these bold commitments, the EPI is intended to provide participating Governments with access to a fund to support the implementation of the measures contained in the Africa Elephant Action Plan.
