Once our security processes have been completed, a full medical assessment is conducted by the International Organisation for Migration in the host country. Local Authorities are provided with case details of all referrals so they can consider whether they have the infrastructure and support networks needed to ensure appropriate care and integration of refugees.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>We do not routinely disclose which local authorities participate in the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme.</p><p>Participation in this scheme is voluntary and it is often the case that local authorities do not wish to have their participation published. The relocation of refugees can be a sensitive issue for some local areas who have agreed to participate. It is a matter for each local authority to decide whether they want to publish the fact of their participation and the numbers of refugees they take.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government considers the continuity of supply of medical radioisotopes as well as other medicines to be a high priority matter following the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. The Government has made clear that Euratom imposes no restrictions on the export of medical radioisotopes outside the EU. A cross-Departmental effort has already been underway since the summer of 2017 to coordinate and deliver a unified approach towards ensuring continuity of supply for medical radioisotopes after EU exit.</p> more like this

This includes the Shared Parental Leave Campaign, to promote take up of SPL among eligible parents, and the National Living and National Minimum Wage Campaign, to increase awareness of the increases in NLW/NMW and of the complaint’s procedure. This means developers will need to show evidence that their projects will support growth in the UK supply chain, support the development of competition, and boost innovation and skills. star this property answer text <p>Where a carer's State Pension is less than Carer's Allowance, State Pension is paid and topped up with Carer's Allowance to the basic weekly rate of Carer's Allowance, which is currently £62.70 a week.</p><p> </p><p>However, where the State Pension paid is higher than £62.70, social security rules operate to prevent Carer’s Allowance and State Pension being paid together, since they are designed to meet the same need i.e. to help maintain income. Paying both benefits together would represent duplicate provision. The relevant legislation is The Social Security (Overlapping Benefits) Regulations 1979 (regulation 4), which can be found at <a href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1979/597/pdfs/uksi_19790597_290216_en.pdf" target="_blank">http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1979/597/pdfs/uksi_19790597_290216_en.pdf</a></p><p><br>Where Carer’s Allowance cannot be paid, the person will keep underlying entitlement to the benefit. This gives access to the additional amount for carers in Pension Credit, worth up to £34.95 a week, and even if a pensioner’s income is above the limit for Pension Credit, he or she may still be able to receive Housing Benefit.</p>

star this property answer text <p>BEIS engages regularly with UK based businesses and trade associations across a range of sectors including consumer goods. We understand the concerns of these businesses about retaining frictionless trade and want all manufacturers across the UK, including in West Yorkshire, to thrive now and in the future.</p><p> </p><p>To help us engage effectively, we have set up sector-specific EU Exit panels. The first consumer goods panel will be taking place in early November and all consumer goods activity in the UK, including furniture manufacturing, is represented.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has been clear that the best outcome is for the UK to leave the EU with a deal and why, following months of intensive work and detailed discussions, we proposed a third option for our future economic relationship, based on the frictionless trade in goods.</p><p> </p><p>At March European Council, the UK and EU agreed that during the implementation period, the UK would be treated as a Member State for the purposes of international agreements, including trade agreements.</p><p> </p><p>This provides certainty and confidence for business that there will be no disruption to existing relationships underpinned by international agreements as we move into the Implementation Period.</p>
