unstar this property answer text <p>Allegations of this type are recorded under the category of bullying and harassment. On average, 10 allegations of bullying and harassment have been made within each of the three previous financial years by members of the Army Cadet Force units in Northern Ireland, although this should not be taken to assume there were 10 in each year; the numbers vary. This will include cadets and all Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (officers, adult instructors and non-uniformed volunteers). To provide the number of allegations made by those holding the rank of Lieutenant and above would be disclosive given the very small number involved.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>Armed Forces Day events provide opportunities for the nation to show their support for our Armed Forces. These events are community-led and can come in many different forms, from the national event through to events organised by councils, ex-Service organisations, community groups and schools. These events can be followed on Twitter using #SaluteOurForces.</p><p>The Ministry of Defence not only supports the National Event, which will be held next year in Salisbury on Saturday 29 June 2019, but also events throughout the United Kingdom. We invite local authorities and community organisations to consider hosting an event and to apply for funding from the Ministry of Defence on the dedicated Armed Forces Day website.</p><p>To date, no events in Northern Ireland have been registered. Based on the very many successful events of previous years, we anticipate that the Ministry of Defence will be supporting approximately 300 events.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>As Minister with responsibility for Cadets, I commend the good work Cadet forces do in Northern Ireland and welcome invitations to visit its Cadet establishments. I met with Cadets in East Londonderry on 23 June 2018. I also met Cadets in Belfast on 11 November 2018. The Secretary of State for Defence has not visited Cadets in north west Northern Ireland, although he did meet with Cadets on 8 September 2018 in Enniskillen.</p> more like this

I met with a number of Cadet detachments during a Remembrance event in Northern Ireland in 2017. I have no immediate plans to visit Cadet detachments in Northern Ireland in 2018, but I would be very happy to consider such visits in the future.</p> more like this

These events can be followed on Twitter using #SaluteOurForces.</p><p> </p><p>The Ministry of Defence (MOD) does not directly support specific Armed Forces events; other than the national event which will be held in Llandudno, in North Wales, on Saturday 30 June 2018. We do invite local authorities and community organisations to consider hosting an event and to apply for funding from the MOD.</p><p> </p><p>To date, in Northern Ireland, Coleraine has registered on the dedicated Armed Forces Day website that it will be holding an event including a Drum Head Service and parade. Registration opened at the end of November and, based on the very many successful events of previous years, we anticipate that over 200 events will be registered. As events are registered by their organisers, they will be published on the Armed Forces Day website: <a href="http://www.armedforcesday.org.uk/" target="_blank">www.armedforcesday.org.uk</a>.</p>

unstar this property answer text <p>At the request of the Kenyan Defence Forces (KDF), British Army Training Unit Kenya's training has been relocated from Laikipia to the KDF's Archer's Post Training Area. The last two ASKARI STORM exercises have been conducted there, as is the current 3 PARA exercise.</p><p>When the Kenyan election process is complete, we will discuss with the Kenyan Government the location of future training.</p> more like this
