	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/02/2019 answer text <p>We are in close contact and working with the UK National Agency to ensure that in the event that the UK leaves the EU with no agreement in place, the government’s guarantee on Erasmus will cover the payment of awards to UK applicants for all successful Erasmus+ bids submitted before the end of 2020.</p><p>The UK government has repeatedly made clear that it values international exchange and collaboration in education and training as part of its vision for a global Britain, and we believe that the UK and European countries should continue to give young people and students the chance to benefit from each other’s world leading universities post-exit. This is reliant on the UK government reaching agreement with the EU for UK organisations to continue participating in Erasmus+ projects and we are seeking to hold these discussions with the EU.</p><p>We published a new technical notice, attached, at the end of January, which provides detailed guidance to organisations and students on the UK’s anticipated participation in the current Erasmus+ programme (2014 to 2020) in the event of no deal. The UK supports ongoing dialogue between the US and China to resolve these issues with an outcome that is WTO-compliant. Total trade in goods and services between the UK and Germany amounted to £132.7 billion in 2018.</p><p> </p><p>In August 2018, my Rt Hon. Friend the Secretary of State for International Trade launched the Export Strategy, through which the Government plans to increase UK total exports as a proportion of GDP to 35% and make Britain a 21st century exporting superpower. Germany will be a priority market for this strategy. The latest OECD Economic Outlook, published on 21 May, states that ‘weak global trade… continue[s] to impede growth in many [emerging-market] countries’.</p><p> </p><p>Well-functioning global trade relationships are vital for the global economy and for ensuring UK businesses can manage their supply chains effectively.</p><p> </p><p>In addition to working with countries to explore the best ways to develop our trade and investment relationships, we are putting resource behind our efforts to tackle market access barriers. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2019 answer text <p>The UK is committed to negotiating an ambitious free trade agreement with the United States as soon as we have left the European Union.</p><p> </p><p>The President and Prime Minister have made clear on a number of occasions their shared commitment to an ambitious, wide-ranging free trade deal that reflects the strength of our bilateral relationship. We welcome the publication by the US Administration of their negotiating objectives for a free trade agreement with the UK as well as the President’s positive public comments during the recent state visit.</p><p> </p><p>Although we cannot enter into negotiations with the US until we leave the EU, there is still much that we can do to lay the groundwork for an ambitious deal. This includes:</p><p> </p><p>Completing our domestic UK processes so that we are ready to start negotiations;</p><p> </p><p>Continuing our conversations with the Office of the US Trade Representative to prepare for live negotiations. These conversations are well advanced, including through the UK/US Trade and Investment Working Group, which has now met five times since it was established in July 2017. Our position is definitive: the NHS is not, and never will be, for sale to the private sector, whether overseas or domestic. The government will ensure no trade agreements will ever be able to alter these fundamental facts.</p><p> </p><p>The UK’s public services are protected by specific exceptions and reservations in existing EU Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
