National statistics on the number of people in low income are set out in the annual &quot;Households Below Average Income&quot; publication. The number and proportion of children in low income is not available at local authority or constituency level in this publication because the survey sample sizes are too small to support the production of robust estimates at this geography.</p><p> </p><p>In the 3-year estimate leading to 2017/18 absolute child poverty is 2 percentage points lower than in the 3-year estimates leading to 2009/10 for the East Midlands. For England as a whole, absolute child poverty is 4 percentage points lower before housing costs, and 3 percentage points lower after housing costs for the 3-year estimates leading to 2017/18 compared with three year estimates leading to 2009/10.</p><p> </p><p>Children growing up in working households are five times less likely to be in poverty, which is why we are supporting families to improve their lives through work. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/10/2014 answer text <p>The House of Commons Commission initially committed itself to a reduction in the Administration Resource Estimate in December 2009. The following year this was restated as an intention to reduce the Estimate to £210 million by 2014/15 from a baseline of £231 million for 2010/11.<sup>(a) </sup>Taking forecast inflation into account, this represented a reduction of 17% in real terms. In December 2013 the Commission agreed an Administration Estimate for 2014/15 of £201.3 million – allowing for transfers between Estimates and other adjustments, this was £2 million below the target set in 2010.</p><p>The Finance and Services Committee will, on Tuesday 28 October, be publishing its first report of the session, entitled <em>House of Commons Financial Plan 2015–16 to 2018–19, including draft Estimates for 2015–16</em> (HC 757), which provides further detail. I shall be approaching the Backbench Business Committee to request a debate on the report before the Committee gives its advice on the 2015/16 Estimate to the Commission in December. This would give all hon. Members a chance to discuss and contribute to the financial plan.</p><p>Note: (a) In December 2009 the Commission agreed an Estimate for 2010/11 of £258 million. However, having taken account of the transfer of staff to IPSA and various accounting adjustments, this was reduced to £231 million. Every effort has been made to keep costs to a minimum to ensure value for money.</p><p>As a world leader in tobacco control the UK has been, and will continue to be, a highly active participant in the FCTC. The UK will participate in the CoP as a member state of the European Union. Ten eligible organisations applied for this funding.</p><p>The Department reviewed these applications as per Cabinet Office guidelines in July and finalised this in August. Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) in a partnership application with FRESH North East scored the highest. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/12/2017 answer text <p>In my answer of 5 September 2017 I stated that a grant of £160,000 was awarded to Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) under section 64 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968 in financial year 2016/17. In my answer of 6 November 2017 I referred to a table confirming that grant payments totalling £195,000 were made to ASH during the financial year in 2016/17. Both responses are accurate. The 6 November response which referred to £195,000 highlighted all payments made to ASH during the financial year 2016/17. This is different from the value of the grant for that year because payments are made once ASH has demonstrated successful delivery of grant objectives, after each quarter. The final payment for each year of the ASH grant is made in the subsequent financial year.
