star this property answer text <p>The Government continues to recognise and be grateful to all Servicemen who participated in the British Nuclear testing programme. As part of Sir John Holmes' independent medal review in 2012, the issue of possible medallic recognition for veterans of the British Nuclear Tests was considered.</p><p> </p><p>The final decision was that the type of duty undertaken did not meet the risk and rigour criteria historically associated with UK Operational Medals. The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has, therefore, made no recent assessment of medallic recognition for Nuclear Test Veterans (NTV). However, as discussed during Defence Oral Questions on 11 June 2018, Defence Ministers will meet with the right hon. Member for South Holland and The Deepings (Mr Hayes) and representatives from the NTV community to discuss their concerns.</p><p> </p><p>For details of the support provided to NTVs I refer the hon. Member to the answer provided by my right hon. Friend the Minister for the Armed Forces (Mr Lancaster) on 9 December 2016 to Question 55999 to the hon. star this property answer text <p>A copy of the Department's Service Family Accommodation Void Reduction Plan has been placed in the Library of the House.</p><p>The Department is delivering a Void Reduction Plan to reduce the number of vacant Service Family Accommodation properties from around 11,000 to the optimal 10% management margin of around 5,000 by 2022.</p><p>This will be achieved through a combination of anticipated increase in occupation by Service personnel and families, disposal, demolition of derelict properties, sub-letting to civilian tenants, and wider estate optimisation.</p><p>The announcement in this House on 28 February concerning the Department's revised plans for the future laydown of the Estate under the Defence Estate Optimisation Programme are currently being incorporated into the Void Reduction Plan.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The total strength of the Army Future Reserves 2020 as at April 2016, April 2015, April 2014 April 2013 and April 2012 are shown in the attached table, with the total divided into Phase 1 trained only, Phase 1 and Phase 2 trained and those who are not yet trained.</p><p> </p><p>Notes:</p><ol><li>The number and proportion of Army Reserves who are not yet Phase 1 trained includes those who have been recruited but will not start training until confirmed medically fit. It may also include those who have joined the Army Reserve over a year ago but have not yet completed Phase 1 training.</li></ol><p> </p><ol start="2"><li>Future Reserves 2020 includes volunteer reserves who are mobilised, High Readiness Reserves and those volunteer reserves serving on Full Time Reserve Service (FTRS) and Additional Duties Commitment (ADC). Sponsored Reserves who provide a more cost effective solution than volunteer reserve are also included in the Army Reserve FR20.</li></ol><p> </p><ol start="3"><li>Figures have been rounded to 10 for presentational purposes; numbers ending in &quot;5&quot; have been rounded to the nearest multiple of 20 to prevent systematic bias. Totals and sub-totals have been rounded separately and so may not appear to be the sum of their parts.</li></ol>
