star this property answer text <p>As part of our strategy to increase further the number of pupils being taught in good or outstanding schools since January 2012, we have re-brokered the attached list of 318 academies to new trusts. Re-brokerage can happen for a number of reasons such as a result of intervention action by the Regional School Commissioner, a single academy trust seeking to join or set up a multi academy trust, or a sponsor deciding to hand back an academy because it no longer has the capacity to run it. We are committed to publishing the costs of individual re-brokerages cases on gov.uk in due course.</p> more like this

The Government has committed to publically consult on this guidance.</p><p>All pilots will be closely monitored and evaluated. The specific monitoring and evaluation arrangements for any given pilot will be agreed as part of the application, and tailored to the particular details of a pilot. This will include an agreement about conditions under which a pilot would be ended.</p><p>The expert advisory panel will provide published advice on the proposed monitoring and evaluation arrangements of all pilots to ensure they are robust. Information about monitoring and evaluation of pilots will also be contained in the explanatory report, which will accompany regulations laid in Parliament.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>All schools are required to teach a balanced and broadly based curriculum that prepares pupils for adult life. The new national curriculum focuses on the essential knowledge so that teachers can design a wider school curriculum that best meets the needs of their pupils.</p><p> </p><p>Many schools already choose to include CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and defibrillator awareness as part of their PSHE (personal, social, health and economic education) teaching. The non-statutory PSHE programme of study produced by the PSHE Association, teaches young people how to recognise and follow health and safety procedures, ways of reducing risk and minimising harm in risky situations, and how to use emergency and basic first aid.</p><p> </p><p>Many schools also make use of organisations such as the Red Cross and St John Ambulance, to provide information to young people about first aid and dealing with emergencies.</p> more like this
