star this property answer text Public authorities will need to comply with the fundamental principles relating to processing of of personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). That includes ensuring that personal data is processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner. The GDPR strengthens the rights of data subjects in several key areas. For example, they will be able to access their data more quickly than provided for by the current law. Public authorities will also need to appoint a 'data protection officer' to inform and advise the organisation on compliance with the GDPR, subject to the remaining stages in the House of Commons and House of Lords.<p> </p> more like this

We have undertaken a number of measures to support live music. Most recently, we announced that the Agent of Change principle will be included in the National Planning Policy Framework, helping to protect music venues when new housing is built.
