star this property answer text <p>Tackling domestic abuse is a key priority for this Government.</p><p>The Office for National Statistics has ascribed national increases in police recorded violent crime to improvements in police recording.</p><p>The Government is providing £10 million to fund specialist domestic and sexual violence services and national helplines up to April 2016, including part-funding to 23 Independent Domestic Violence Advocates and eight Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Coordinators in London. New guidance for the police has been published by the College of Policing, new training has been piloted and for the first time police are collating domestic violence data against a national standard.</p><p>The Government recognises that local areas are best placed to meet local need.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p> </p><p> </p><p>The use of telephone lines with the prefix 0843, 0844 and 0845 will be phased out in accordance with the Cabinet Office guidance on customer service lines both where these have been the primary number or have been temporarily retained as secondary number behind a new 03 number.</p><p>The Home Office and Her Majesty's Passport Office operates no 0843/0844 numbers. <br><br>The Home Office's 0845 Nationality Contact / European Enquiry Line and Asylum support line has been migrated to 0300 prefix in March 2014. The original 0845 number will be fully decommissioned by 31 December 2014.<br><br>Her Majesty's Passport Office 0845 number for Customer letters migrated to 0300 prefix on 1 September 2014. The Government is running pilots in the West Yorkshire police force area and the South West region to test the recommendations made in the NRM review. star this property answer text <p>The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Adult First is a service provided by the Disclosure and Barring Service that can be used in cases where, exceptionally, and in accordance with the terms of Department of Health guidance, a person is permitted to start work with adults before a DBS Certificate has been obtained.</p><p>An individual neither passes nor fails an Adult First check and a certificate is not withheld if a person is on the Adults barred list. If a person is on the list, that fact will be disclosed on the completed DBS certificate.</p><p>There are two outcomes to an Adult First check and the Registered Body is either advised that no match exists for this person on the current Adults barred list, or they must wait for the full disclosure as a match against the Adults barred list cannot be ruled out at this stage.
