We are aware of reports of frontline incidents and skirmishing but these remain low. We urge all parties to support and facilitate the UN’s efforts and to implement the redeployment of forces in Hodeidah as agreed during the Stockholm talks. Later on 16 January 2019, UN Security Council Resolution 2452 was unanimously agreed. It was drafted by the UK and establishes a six month UN mission to monitor and support implementation of the Hodeidah ceasefire and redeployment of forces. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/09/2015 answer text <p>The UK has lobbied the Saudi Arabian -led Coalition and the Yemeni Government on the importance of non-politicisation of aid, as well as the need to improve access for commercial goods and humanitarian aid, including via Hodeidah Port. The UK is supporting the UN, working with the Coalition and Yemeni Government, to make the system for verifying shipping more efficient. It is critical that Hodeidah and the other Red Sea ports be accessible for commercial and humanitarian ships. If ports do not reopen the risk of famine in Yemen will increase further. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/10/2015 answer text We have made clear to all parties to the conflict that they must take all reasonable steps to facilitate access for humanitarian aid, and have emphasised the importance of non-politicisation of aid, as well as the need to facilitate access for commercial goods. The UK is also supporting the UN in working with the Saudi-led military coalition and Government of Yemen to make the system for verifying shipping more efficient, which should further ease access for aid. The Foreign Secretary met President Hadi on 28 September and spoke to Saudi Foreign Minister Al Jubeir on 29 September in the margins of the UN General Assembly, and underlined the importance the UK attaches to finding a political solution to the current crisis as soon as possible. The Foreign Secretary also reinforced the necessity of full compliance with international humanitarian law and of facilitating access humanitarian and commercial shipping to the Saudi Foreign Minister. The Secretary of State for International Development, my right hon. Friend the Member for Putney (Justine Greening) co-chaired an international meeting on the Yemen humanitarian crisis on 28 September in the margins of the UN General Assembly. This was attended by representatives of the military coalition governments and by the government of Yemen. In this meeting, she reiterated that it was critical for all parties to the conflict to facilitate immediate humanitarian access into and within Yemen, and lift any restrictions on commercial and humanitarian shipping. The Foreign Secretary raised the humanitarian situation in his discussion with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia on 25 August</p><p>The UK has also taken the lead in urging all parties to ensure rapid, safe and unhindered humanitarian access. This call was repeated by the UN Security Council Presidential Statement proposed and coordinated by the UK in June. This September at the UN General Assembly I hosted a Ministerial-level meeting with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the US and UN Special Envoy for Yemen. In 2017/18 we are committing £155 million in aid to Yemen, making us the third largest humanitarian donor, and the second largest to the UN appeal. We are prioritising life-saving interventions including food and nutrition support to 1.7 million people and clean water and sanitation for an expected 1.2 million people. The Foreign Secretary has discussed the situation with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman several times in recent weeks, most recently with the Crown Prince on 19 December. We welcome the Coalition's announcement on 20 December that Hodeidah port will reopen for both humanitarian and commercial supplies, including fuel and food. On 20 December, the Prime Minister discussed this announcement with King Salman and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman.
