	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/11/2014 answer text <p>On 4 September 2014 at the NATO Wales Summit NATO allies and ISAF partners renewed their financial commitments to support the sustainment of the ANSF, including to the end of 2017. At the Wales summit the UK confirmed in principle an annual financial contribution of £70 million to help train the ANSF until at least 2017. This is part of an overall commitment from the international community of around $5 billion per year for the next three years. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/03/2017 answer text <p>The UK strongly supports the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), and we continue to work with the UN and the Department for Peacekeeping Operations to improve the capabilities of the mission to effectively carry out its mandate. As a result of our efforts on this, the UN Security Council passed resolution 2304 in August 2016, which mandated the deployment of 4000 extra troops for UNMISS as a Regional Protection Force for Juba. We continue to urge the Government of South Sudan to fulfil their commitment to accommodate this deployment, and encourage the troop contributing countries to accelerate preparations. We are also currently in the process of deploying 379 UK troops to UNMISS. The results are used by the Defence Board and the Executive Committee of the Army Board to shape and improve evidence-based personnel policies.</p><p>44% of Officers and 39% of Other Ranks rate their own morale as high and this has been stable for personnel over recent years. We recognise that more remains to be done, and we will continue to strive to ensure that all our Armed Forces personnel feel valued and that their contribution and sacrifice is recognised. Its purpose is to optimise infrastructure to support military capability and invest in significantly better facilities to support the men and women of our Armed Forces.</p><p>All sites announced under the Better Defence Estates Strategy are subject to further assessment studies and an update is due to Parliament in autumn 2017.
