Second Readings for Private Members' Bills introduced this session have been scheduled on Friday 27 June and Friday 18 July; further Second Readings will be arranged in due course. A ballot to determine the order in which Private Members' Bills receive their First Reading will be introduced from the start of the new Parliament (3rd Report of the Procedure Committee, Session 2013-14).</p><p>For Bills that receive a Second Reading, formal consideration of their remaining stages will be arranged where no amendments are tabled and where the Member in charge so requests. Member for Leeds Central, (Hilary Benn), on 13 May 2014, <em>Official Report</em>, Column 535-536W, there is no prescriptive Whitehall guidance on street lighting, and any assessment will depend on local circumstances and local views. In addition,<em> Manual for Streets, </em>while out of date in certain areas (e.g. on parking and density), contains some useful guidance on getting the balance right when providing street lighting, taking into account the different issues around safety, crime prevention, street clutter and light pollution. This included a £1,000 discount for two years for smaller shops, pubs and restaurants. We do not hold figures for numbers benefitting from that measure in the Ashfield constituency. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2014 answer text <p>The Government is giving more schools greater flexibility to adapt the shape of the school year in the interests of their pupils' education.</p><p>Whilst this will extend an existing flexibility to a greater number of schools, our advice will continue to include a clear expectation of schools working with each other and the local authority to coordinate dates to avoid unnecessary disruption to parents and their employers.</p><p>The Department has consulted with representatives of the tourist industry. Where schools choose to change their holiday dates, following discussion locally with parents and local businesses, there may well be a positive impact on seaside economies.
