star this property answer text <p>DWP has made a number of changes to the benefits system in response to the pandemic to ensure the right support goes to those claimants who are more vulnerable, have a health condition or have a disability.</p><p>To provide greater financial security at this time, we have automatically extended awards by 6 months for existing claimants that were due to be reviewed or reassessed.</p><p>We have also suspended all face-to-face assessments of disability benefits for 3 months but continue to accept new claims, requests for a review where asked by a claimant and, as usual, prioritise claims made under the Special Rules for Terminal Illness.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>We came into this pandemic with a record employment rate for women at 72.9% to the end March 2020, and our measures so far have protected millions of jobs.</p><p>The Government has launched a plan for jobs to Get Britain Back into Work, targeting support to get those who can, back into work as quickly as possible. star this property answer text <p>Police data does not provide a fully reliable picture of trends of Violence Against Women and Girls. These crimes are often hidden and can go unreported to the police.</p><p>Pleasingly, levels of reporting have gone up. This may be in part be due to improvements in recording practices, but also because victims and survivors are more comfortable in coming forward.</p><p> </p><p>We want to see these increases, so the victims and survivors can be supported so more perpetrators are rightly brought to justice.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>DWP commissioned an independent report on menopause and the workplace, as part of regular engagement with the members of the 50 PLUS Roundtable on older workers, which was published in November 2021. The Government’s response was outlined in July last year.</p><p>In the response, the Government committed to appoint a DWP Menopause Employment Champion who will work with the Women’s Health Ambassador on the issue of menopause and employment and drive forward work with employers on menopause workplace issues.</p><p>This commitment was reaffirmed in the Government's response to the Women and Equalities Select Committee report yesterday in our response to recommendation 6.</p> more like this
