	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/11/2021 answer text <p>Deputy Speakers and Deputy Chairmen on duty in the Chamber are able to take a taxi when they are on duty and the House sits past 10.40pm, with costs covered up to a linear distance of 25 miles. The same limit applies to staff late night travel. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/10/2021 answer text <p>Parliament benefits from a significant layered security and policing presence, and is within the Government Secure Zone which also has a substantial policing footprint strengthened by additional protective and deterrent measures. Personal security advice is available for all Members and staff, and the Director of Security for Parliament is content to meet with any Members who wish to discuss specific concerns. In respect of staff of the Administration, their safety and wellbeing is important and a late night transport policy provides taxis home for those who are required to work beyond 10.40pm. The costs incurred will relate to additional staff costs and claims that Members may submit in relation to their attendance on that date. Such claims can be submitted up to the end of November and once the figures are available an update will be provided. Other directly attributable costs will be disclosed if available.
