We remain committed to supporting the aspirations of the Zimbabwean people for a more democratic, stable and prosperous future.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In 2013/14 we provided £106 million in aid to Zimbabwe. This aid focused on helping the country’s poorest people, including providing healthcare, water, sanitation, and access to markets needed for people to earn enough money to meet their basic needs.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>No UK aid goes directly through GoZ systems. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/03/2015 answer text <p>The UK is the first country to announce its contribution of $50million to the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Catastrophe Containment and Relief (CCR) trust to relieve the burden of debt caused by the Ebola epidemic in West Africa.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The CCR trust is expected to provide grants-for-debt relief of $100million for the three countries most affected by the ongoing Ebola epidemic: Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. Access for medical and relief supplies from Turkey to northern Syria has been ongoing through cross-border operations carried out by International NGOs, and has increased since the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2165/2191 authorising the UN to deliver aid across borders without regime consent.
