star this property answer text <p>The UK government will continue to lead the world in our long-term support for comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and to help women and girls get the information and services they need to give them control over their own lives and bodies. This is essential to achieving the Global Goals.</p><p> </p><p>Following the reintroduction and expansion of the Mexico City Policy in January 2017, we have kept in close contact with partners including UK NGOs to ensure the policy does not compromise UK-supported evidence-based comprehensive SRHR programming.</p><p> </p><p>The full implications of the further expansion of the Mexico City Policy in May 2019 are still emerging and we are closely monitoring developments. DFID is considering the implications, including with our partners, civil society and other donors.</p><p> </p><p>The UK will continue to defend SRHR through our programmes and our voice on the world stage.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Department for International Development (DFID) employs around 3,500 staff, around 2,800 of whom are home civil servants. According to March 2019 data from the Annual Civil Service Employment Survey (ACSES), available publicly online, 1490 home civil service DFID staff have a known religion. Of these, 40 have identified as Muslim. This figure does not include ‘do not wish to declare’ responses. According to the ACSES survey, DFID’s reporting rate for religion or belief was 52.6% in March 2019.</p><p> </p><p>The ACSES provides published detail on the number of civil servants reporting their religion and ethnicity by department and by grade but not by the measures combined. We are therefore unable to provide published detail on the ethnicity of staff who declared as Muslim, or how many of these staff are employed at each grade.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The UK has committed approximately £94 million to the Iraq Humanitarian Pooled Fund since 2015. In 2018, the UK contributed £13 million to the Iraq Humanitarian Pooled Fund. That year, the Iraq Humanitarian Pooled Fund allocated $3.2 million to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq of a total of $36.6 million (including other donor funding). This equates to roughly 9% of Pooled Fund allocations to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.</p><p>DFID has committed £261m in humanitarian support to Iraq since 2014, providing a vital lifeline to millions with shelter, medical care and clean water.</p> more like this
