star this property answer text <p>Providing a statutory definition of plying for pre-booking and plying for hire was considered as part of the Government response to the report by the Chair of the Task and Finish Group. The response issued on 12 February explained that since the Law Commission concluded in 2014 that a statutory definition of plying for hire would not be a practical improvement on the current position and there being no change in the legal situation, the Government would not take forward that recommendation.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Pursuant to Question 249174, the Department for Transport does not hold non-disclosure agreements with any individuals working on High Speed 2.</p><p> </p><p>However, Confidentiality Agreements are used to protect both HS2 Ltd’s information and the information of the other signatory party and are in accordance with typical business practice. Confidentiality Agreements help to avoid placing homes and businesses in unnecessary blight and protect commercially sensitive information and the personal information of those potentially affected by any proposed changes. star this property answer text <p>The Government is committed to ensuring disabled people, including those with less visible disabilities such as autism, have the same access to transport and opportunities to travel as everyone else.</p><p> </p><p>In July 2018 the Department published the Inclusive Transport Strategy. Its ambition is to create a transport system that provides equal access for disabled people by 2030. It is ambitious and comprehensive, and sets a clear direction of travel, helping to create a society that works for all and will enable disabled people in our towns and cities to travel confidently, easily and without extra cost. The Department is making good progress delivering the many commitments set out in the Strategy, and will be reporting to Parliament on this in the summer.</p><p> </p> more like this

This includes working with industry partners to improve the Passenger Assist scheme through which disabled passengers can book the assistance they need, and the provision of information about accessibility to enable better journey planning.</p><p> </p><p>All operators are required as a licence condition to have a Disabled People’s Protection Policy in place, which sets out how disabled people can seek assistance on board and at stations.</p><p> </p> more like this
