	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/02/2019 answer text <p>Hate crimes are unacceptable and the Government is completely committed to tackling them.</p><p>In October 2018 the first breakdown of hate crime statistics by religion was released by the Home Office. This data showed that 672 antisemitic hate crimes were recorded by the police in England and Wales in 2017/18. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/02/2019 answer text <p>We work closely with the Community Security Trust and other representative community partners through the Cross-Government Working Group to Tackle Antisemitism. The Working Group is held up as an example of best practice internationally for cooperation between government and minority communities. Through the Working Group we have funded projects to highlight and counter antisemitism directed at women, and to combat the dissemination of antisemitic tropes in society.</p><p>We have also worked with the police to improve the recording of hate crime. This includes a requirement to record the targeted faith or belief in incidents of religiously motivated hate crime. The first set of statistics reflecting this new requirement with disaggregated figures for religiously motivated hate crime were published in October 2018. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/02/2019 answer text <p>The terms on whether and how a deposit will be paid by the tenants of a commercial property, and how they will be retained, should be included within the commercial lease agreement agreed by both the landlord and the tenant. It is considered to be best practice to include a rent deposit deed, which is a document that sets how a landlord secures a commercial tenant's deposit.</p><p>Under the tenancy deposit protection legislation introduced in the Housing Act 2004, all landlords letting on residential assured shorthold tenancies are required to protect their tenants' deposits in a government-approved scheme within 30 days of taking the deposit. The landlord must also serve the tenant with certain prescribed information within the same thirty-day period. We do not currently have any plans to require the use of a tenancy deposit scheme for commercial tenancies.</p><p>Since 1 October 2014, it has been a legal requirement for lettings agents and property managers in England to join one of two government-approved redress schemes: the Property Ombudsman or the Property Redress Scheme. The letting agent or property manager should arbitrate any disputes between the landlord or tenant in the first instance. However, the number of households accepted as being homeless and in priority need for all local authorities in England from the financial year 2004–05 can be found in Table 784 here:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/live-tables-on-homelessness" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/live-tables-on-homelessness</a>.</p><p>The above link provides information on levels of homelessness by local authority, so please refer to the Local Authority of Sefton.</p><p>A new case-level homelessness data collection system was introduced in April 2018 and will provide a much richer source of information at the household level, including information on support needs. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/02/2019 answer text <p>The Government collects quarterly and annual statistics on the number of people who present as homeless to English local authorities. Until April 2018, veterans formed part of a wider vulnerable group category that included care leavers, ex-offenders and those who have fled their home because of violence or the threat of violence (other than domestic violence). As a result we are not able to identify the number of veterans presenting as homeless from this period.</p><p>In April 2018 the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government introduced a new case-level data collection called H-CLIC (Homelessness Case Level Information Collection). This gives local authorities and Government more information regarding homelessness and those presenting as homeless, including people who self-declared as having served in the armed forces as a separate category</p><p>In England from April to June 2018, of the 58,660 households to who, at the point of initial decision, were owed a homelessness duty by the local authority, 0.7 per cent (430) of main applicants stated they had served in the armed forces.</p><p>The latest local authority level statistics, and quarterly statistics since 2009, can be found here:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/live-tables-on-homelessness" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/live-tables-on-homelessness</a>.</p><p>This Government is committed to reducing homelessness and rough sleeping. No one should ever have to sleep rough. That is why last summer we published the cross-government Rough Sleeping Strategy which sets out an ambitious £100 million package to help people who sleep rough now, but also puts in place the structures that will end rough sleeping once and for all.
