	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/08/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>We do not hold central information on the number of audits commissioned or auditing steps taken regarding publically funded projects, as these would be a matter for individual contracting authorities to commission.</p><p> </p><p>All suppliers are required to comply with UK law, including relevant human rights and employment rights law. Social, environmental and ethical issues are taken into account in the procurement process, where relevant and proportionate.</p><p> </p><p>In particular, EU procurement rules require contracting authorities to exclude suppliers that have been convicted of certain offences, and allow authorities to exclude suppliers for grave professional misconduct. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/05/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>The women's engagement newsletter was produced quarterly in 2011/12 and in 2013 its distribution increased to bi-monthly. From May 2011- December 2012 10 newsletters were published. In 2013, 6 newsletters were published.</p><p> </p><p>To date, there are approximately 2,200 individuals and organisations signed up to receive the newsletter and we know that a number of organisations disseminate the newsletter throughout their membership. Subscribers to the newsletter include some of the largest women's organisations, such as the Women's Institute, who have a membership of over 212,000.</p><p> </p><p>A reader survey was conducted in the last quarter of 2013 and we will publish the results shortly. Ministers have committed to continue the roundtable programme in 2014 and several roundtables have already taken place. We have recently launched a Twitter account ‘@DCMS-Women' to provide an additional channel for direct engagement between individual women, the women's sector and policy officials. The Equality Act 2010 provides protection from discrimination because of gender reassignment in employment.</p><p> </p><p>In March 2011 the Government published <em>Working for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Equality: Moving Forward</em>; and in December 2011 <em>Advancing transgender equality: a plan for action</em> both of which set out the actions to be taken across Government to enhance equality for transgendered individuals. Actions included the Department for Work and Pensions and Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs improving the experiences of transgender people seeking work. We recognise that a very small number of people consider themselves to be of neither gender. We are not aware that that results in any specific detriment, and it is not Government policy to identify such people for the purpose of issuing non-gender-specific official documents.</p><p>A specific review on gender markings in the British passport was carried out by Her Majesty's Passport Office, which has been placed in the Library of both Houses. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/07/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>The Government last undertook an assessment of the financial and time costs of running an election campaign for an independent UK expert to be elected to the Committee on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women in December 2013.</p><p> </p><p>It was estimated at the time that the equivalent of 108 days of work would be needed to identify a suitable candidate and support them throughout the campaign process. This estimate included running a process to identify a suitable candidate and running a campaign to support the successful candidate. In addition, financial costs would be incurred, including expenses for brochures, campaign events, and paying for the candidate's campaign travel.</p><p> </p><p>Other financial costs would include expenses for brochures, campaign events, and paying for the candidate's campaign travel. Consideration is also given to fair representation of geographical regions, gender, and different legal systems.
