Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer has committed to completing a major review of business rates by the end of 2015.</p><p> </p><p>Autumn Statement 2014 announced a £1bn package of measures to reduce the burden of business rates, focussed on small businesses and retailers, including:</p><p>· extending the doubling of the Small Business Rate Relief until April 2016;</p><p>· continuing the 2% cap on the inflation-linked increase in the business rates multiplier until April 2016; and</p><p>· increasing the retail discount for shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants until April 2016</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p /> <p>There are currently 26 growth hubs across England. 13 new growth hubs will launch by March 2016, when there will be a growth hub available in every 39 LEP area. Details of the country’s growth hubs can be found on the LEP network website.</p><p> </p><p>The first growth hub was created in Greater Manchester in November 2011, followed by Cumbria in 2013. 15 Wave 2 City areas received funding to help establish growth hubs during 2014-15 and all areas outside London will receive funding during 2015-16 as part of their Local Growth Deal. star this property answer text <br /> <br /><p>We have consulted on our proposals to devolve the power to extend Sunday trading hours to local areas, to which we received a large number of responses from a wide range of stakeholders. We will be publishing the Government’s response shortly. In the consultation, we said we considered that devolving this power would enable local areas to determine the Sunday trading hours that better reflect the need of local people, providing greater choice over when and where they shop. People may choose small retailers, as for example, they offer a diverse range of products and services from convenient locations. This is perhaps why the convenience sector last year saw the opening of two new stores a day and growth in turnover of 5%.</p><p><strong></strong></p> more like this

UK Trade and Investment will be leading a whole of government approach to engage with UK companies to ensure that UK businesses are well equipped to benefit from the commercial opportunities that will arise from sanction relief.</p><br /><p>There is a desire on both sides to build a long-term bilateral relationship based on future partnership, where trade and investment is a key pillar. We plan to take further trade delegations to Iran in the near future across a number of sectors where UK companies are best placed to benefit from commercial opportunities.</p><p><strong></strong></p> more like this
