star this property answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence has 42 Army personnel permanently assigned to the Loan Service team in Oman conducting training of Omani armed forces. The Army also deployed five Short Term Training Teams during the period 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2015. A total of 23 Army personnel deployed to Oman over this period to conduct these Short Term Training Team activities with the Omani Army.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>There is no evidence linking anyone conclusively to the death of Captain Lisa Head, and no such agreement was made with Afghan tribesmen.</p><p>Where there was sufficient evidence against Afghan nationals detained by UK forces, they were handed over to the Afghan authorities for further investigation and prosecution. All individuals conclusively linked to the deaths of UK Service personnel have now been convicted by the Afghan authorities.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The last UK troops left Camp Bastion in November 2014. Prior to that point, security arrangements for Camp Bastion, the adjacent Camp Leatherneck and the surrounding area were shared between the UK forces and the US Marine Corps. These arrangements were the subject of extensive investigation by the Defence Select Committee in their 2014-15 inquiry into the September 2012 attack on the Bastion-Leatherneck complex. Large areas of what was Camp Bastion now form part of Camp Shorabak, which is used by elements of the Afghan National Defence Security Forces.</p> more like this

However, the Government supports employers in managing sickness absence through Fit for Work, which provides an occupational health assessment for those suffering from long term sickness absence; and general health and work advice to employees, employers and GPs. It is free to use for all.</p><p> </p><p>Where an employee may be eligible for statutory sick pay when on sick leave, the employer has responsibility for determining whether they accept that their employee is incapable of work. star this property answer text <p>The Ministry of Justice published the Female Offender Strategy on 27 June 2018, which sets out their plan to improve outcomes for women in the community and custody.</p><p> </p><p>As part of this, Government is investing £5 million of funding over two years in community provision for women. A £3.5m grant funding competition was also launched for 2018/19 and 2019/20, which included £2m Domestic Abuse funding for female offenders from Home Office.</p><p> </p><p>Through her involvement with MoJ’s Advisory Board on Female Offenders, Victoria Atkins, Minister for Women, will have extensive engagement on how to support women in the justice system who have been in abusive relationships.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, the Home Office is funding projects which aim to better support women in the criminal justice system through the Violence Against Women and Girls Transformation fund. This includes a pilot of Sexual Violence Court Advocates and additional services provided to women in custody.</p><p> </p>

star this property answer text <p>As part of the SDSR and our plans for Joint Force 2025 we are investing more than £178 billion in buying and maintaining equipment over the next decade. This includes the modernisation and investment in our air transport fleet which will include the C17, A400M, Voyager and C130J platforms. We are still developing our plans for how the Army's new strike brigades will be deployed, but part of the extra capability we expect them to offer is the ability to deploy at pace by air, sea or to self-deploy over land.</p> more like this
