star this property answer text <p>The Ministry of Justice published Experimental Statistics in October 2018, which estimated the numbers of former service personnel in the prison population. The department is due to release the next estimate in October 2019.</p><p> </p><p>This new analysis indicated that as at 30 June 2018, 2032 prisoners had declared as ‘ex-service personnel’ when they were first received into custody between January 2015 and June 2018. The attached table shows the number of ex-service personnel serving a prison sentence in all prisons in Yorkshire as at 30 June 2018.</p><p> </p><p>The Ministry of Justice is committed to ensuring that those who have served in the Armed Forces and who find themselves in the Criminal Justice System are able to access support, whether they are serving their sentence in custody or in the community.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>We intend in due course to devolve funding for the increased employer contribution rate in the NHS Pension Scheme although a date has not yet been set. For 2019/20, the Department, NHS England and NHS Improvement and the NHS Business Services Authority agreed a transitional arrangement to distribute the pensions revaluation funding following an increase to the employer contribution rate from 14.38% (inclusive of the 0.08% administration levy) to 20.68% from 1 April 2019.</p><p>The employer contribution cost arrangements for 2020/21 will be confirmed in the 2020/21 Operational Planning Guidance document which will be released towards the end of January 2020.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

NHS England and NHS Improvement will continue supporting any affected ICS to ensure they are able to achieve the greatest effectiveness and opportunity from their current working arrangements.</p><p>Along with placing ICS on a statutory footing, greater alignment of ICS and local authority boundaries will help bring together the delivery of health services, the delivery of social care and the delivery of local public health advice and services into and across shared geographical footprints. This will support areas to continue to address issues that rely on joined up approaches such as tackling health inequalities.</p>

star this property answer text <p>The decision to remand an individual in custody or to grant bail is solely a matter for the courts acting in accordance with the law on a case by case basis.</p><p>Bail can only be refused where there are substantial grounds for believing that the individual would abscond, commit further offences, interfere with witnesses or otherwise obstruct the course of justice. Where the court grants bail, it does so with the proviso that the individual attends court, does not commit another offence while on bail and does not interfere with witnesses or otherwise obstruct the course of justice. The court may also decide to impose certain conditions to help ensure that the individual complies with these requirements and to help mitigate any other identified bail risks. Such conditions may include, but are not limited to, the surrender of passports to prevent the individual from travelling abroad.</p><p>The court can also impose a Sexual Risk Order where an individual has committed an act of a sexual nature which suggests that they pose a risk of harm to the public in the UK or children or vulnerable adults abroad.</p><p>The Government is working to ensure the courts have all the information they need to make an informed decision about the risk posed by an individual.</p><p>Information relating to bail conditions that are imposed by the courts is not centrally recorded in the Court Proceeding Database held by the Ministry of Justice and to obtain it would involve a manual interrogation of court records which would result in a disproportionate cost to the department.</p><p>On 17 January, the Justice Select Committee published its report entitled &quot;The Role of Adult Custodial Remand in the Criminal Justice System&quot;. The report makes recommendations which relate to bail conditions and to the availability of data. The Government will publish its response to the report on 17 March.</p>
