The department publishes this data quarterly and the numbers declaring has remained stable at approximately 3.5% - 4%.</p><p> </p><p>Ministry of Justice Experimental Statistics published annually (October 2018) indicated that there were at least 2,032 former members of the Armed Services in prison as at 30 June 2018. We do not record the reasons behind a crime and only collect information on the offence committed. There are a number of offences that someone can commit to support the drug use of someone else, including theft and drug related offences.
