	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/11/2018 answer text <p>The publication of the female offender strategy on 27 June is the start of a new and significant programme of work to deliver better outcomes for female offenders at all points of the justice system. It sets out our vision to see fewer women in custody, especially on short-term sentences, and a greater proportion of women managed in the community successfully.</p><p> </p><p>Our vision for the ‘residential women’s centres’ pilot is the provision of an intensive residential support package in the community for women at risk of, or having served, short custodial sentences. The intention is to divert them from custody where appropriate and support them to address the underlying causes of their offending behaviour.</p><p> </p><p>We are not aware of any past or existing provision that fully accords with this, therefore we are unable to provide any information about how many places in women’s residential centres were funded by the Government in each year since 2010. The MoJ has provided funding to both, but does not oversee their work and bears no responsibility for maintaining records of them. Maps have been produced in the past showing snapshots of their number and location at that point in time. The women’s centres map was published in guidance for the police on working with vulnerable women, alongside the female offender strategy in June 2018; the rape support centres map has been shared with various stakeholders, but has not been published and there are no plans at present to publish it.</p><p>Our female offender’s strategy sets out a programme of work to improve outcomes for female offenders, based on our vision of seeing fewer women entering the justice system and serving short custodial sentences, and better conditions for those women in custody. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/06/2018 answer text <p>The Government is committed to ensuring that victims of crime get the support they need to cope with and, as far as possible, recover from the effects of crime.</p><p> </p><p>Neither MoJ or NHS England hold information on the breakdown of funding allocations to victims based on age.</p><p> </p><p>Under the 2016-2020 Violence Against Women and Girls strategy, the Government made a commitment to maintain funding for sexual violence support services at 2016/17 levels for the remainder of the spending review period. We continue to meet this commitment.</p><p> </p><p>Overall, MoJ is spending around £96m this year to fund support services for victims of crime. Around £68m of this has been allocated to Police and Crime Commissioners to locally commission or provide support services for victims of crime, including victims of sexual violence and child sexual abuse.</p><p> </p><p>In 2018/19 we have allocated just over £8m in funding for services supporting victims of sexual violence, including support for victims of child sexual abuse.</p><p> </p><p>Young child victims of abuse are generally supported by specialist NHS services. NHS England and the Home Office also have commissioning responsibilities for services to support child victims of abuse. NHS England gave uplifted investment from £9m in 2013 to £31m this year to commission an all age service with PCCs. The Report contains a series of recommendations for specific changes, one of which was specifically directed at the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA). This was that:</p><p>- CICA ensures that claims relating to child sexual abuse are only considered by caseworkers who have specific and detailed training in the nature and impact of child sexual abuse.</p><p>The Government welcomes the Report and is now considering the Inquiry’s recommendations very carefully. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/06/2018 answer text <p>The Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme clearly sets out that payments will be refused where the applicant has an unspent conviction specifically excluded by the Scheme. This includes convictions resulting in custodial sentences and community orders.</p><p> </p><p>In 2016/2017, CICA received over 31,000 new claims for criminal injuries compensation.
