For the financial year 2014/15 they will receive £8,070 from the MENA Conflict Pool. The first call, in November 2013, invited proposals from organisations in all of Burma’s states and regions. This was followed by a specific call on Education in Emergencies in June 2014. The 14 projects funded as a result of these first two calls are or will be operating in Ayeyarwady, Bago (East, West), Chin, Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Magway, Mandalay, Naypyidaw, Rakhine, Sagaing, Shan (South, North), Tanintharyi, and Yangon. We are also looking to be more ambitious by increasing the proportion of young women and young men with the technical and transferable skills to get decent jobs.</p><p>The main process to define a new goal for education is being led by UNESCO through its Education For All Steering Committee. Our approach to addressing the impact of HIV on women and girls and the barriers to accessing information on sexual and reproductive healthcare is set out in the UK Government's 2011 HIV Position Paper and the recent review, “Towards Zero Infections-Two Years On”published in November 2013.
