	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/07/2019 answer text <p>Since 2011 the Department has provided more than £26 million in financial support to NHS Blood and Transplant and Anthony Nolan to enable the establishment of a unified United Kingdom Stem Cell Registry and improve stem cell donation. This includes improving equity of access to unrelated donor stem cell transplantation for Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) patients through targeted recruitment to the UK Stem Cell Registry. This funding is in addition to the recruitment campaigns run by NHS Blood and Transplant, Anthony Nolan and other partners</p><p>In 2017 the Department funded recruitment for 6,000 extra donors from BAME background and continues to fund recruitment of genome-typed BAME donors who are then much more likely to donate. Working collaboratively to recruit more BAME donors with our partners, 22% of donors recruited in 2018-19 were of BAME background.<sup>1</sup></p><p>As part of the funding outlined above an Umbilical Cord Blood bank has been established. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/06/2019 answer text <p>Details on the UK Statistics Authority’s interventions are published in the correspondence<sup>1</sup>, publications<sup>2</sup>, and issues log<sup>3</sup> sections of their website since 2010.</p><p> </p><p>The Authority’s Office for Statistics Regulation also carry out regular assessments and systemic reviews, details of which can also be found on the Authority’s website<sup>4</sup>.</p><p> </p><p>In September 2018, the Authority published the first annual summary of its interventions for the financial year 2017/18<sup>5</sup>. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/06/2019 answer text <p>On 21 May 2019, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) published its ‘Interim Report: Review of restraint, prolonged seclusion and segregation for people with a mental health problem, a learning disability and or autism.’ The Government has accepted all five of the recommendations in the CQC’s interim report including the recommendation that over the next 12 months, there should be an independent and an in-depth review of the care provided to, and the discharge plan for, each person who is in segregation on a ward for children and young people or on a ward for people with a learning disability and/or autism.</p><p> </p><p>The Department is committed to working with partners across the health, education and care system to ensure that all of the recommendations are implemented effectively.</p><p> </p><p>We will ensure the care of each and every person detained in seclusion or long term segregation is thoroughly scrutinised. The timeframe required to review each case will be case-specific but each review will be conducted efficiently. The CQC looks at the arrangements for controlled drugs as well as all other medicines as part of its inspection process. This can include prescribing, particularly where concerns have been raised.
