	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/10/2014 answer text <p>The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) complaints handling procedures were inspected by Her Majesty’s Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate in January 2013. Recommendations from that inspection have been implemented, which included incorporating independent oversight. An Independent Assessor of Complaints (IAC) was appointed in May 2013. The IAC’s role includes acting as the guardian of the CPS Feedback and Complaints policy, and assessing the quality of complaints handling. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/09/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>The CPS is committed to the proper application of the disclosure provisions in the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 and is already engaged in a range of activities that will improve performance in this area:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>· A disclosure assurance regime is in place for Crown Court disclosure;</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>· The CPS contributed to the Kinch / Riddle review into disclosure in the magistrates’ courts and is implementing the recommendations as part of the cross-CJS efforts to transform summary justice.
