From September 2014, 227 high-quality Tech Levels will be available to 16- to 19-year-olds, across a wide range of industry sectors. These are all backed by employers, trade or professional bodies and provide an excellent pathway to apprenticeships, skilled employment and technical degrees. From September 2016, all Tech Level courses will also involve employers in the delivery and/or assessment of the qualification. As regulator, Ofqual is strengthening its regulatory approach to ensure that vocational qualifications meet employers’ needs.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, over 400 employers are involved in redesigning apprenticeships. Trailblazers are led by large and small employers, who are developing new apprenticeship standards and assessment approaches for key occupations in their sectors. This disregard may vary depending on the claimant’s circumstances, the type of occupation and the benefit in payment. Claimants are usually excluded from benefit if they work more than 16 hours per week.</p><p> </p><p>Voluntary work is defined for social security purposes as work for which the claimant receives no payment other than in respect of expenses reasonably incurred by the volunteer. It must be reasonable for the claimant to be providing services without pay. Voluntary work does not affect entitlement to benefit and any expenses paid are disregarded.</p><p> </p><p>Whether working part-time or doing voluntary work, the claimant must continue to meet other relevant benefit conditions. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/07/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>Our expectation is that local authorities will be proactive in their use of the existing strong enforcement powers that are available to deal with unauthorised encampments and development.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>A possession order under Part 55 of the Civil Procedure Rules can be obtained by both local authorities and private landowners who require the removal of trespassers from property including land.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>A local authority can use its powers under sections 77-78 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 to direct individuals to remove their vehicles and belongings, and to leave highway land, or any land occupied without the consent of the landowner.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We have lifted the previous Administration’s restrictions on the use of Temporary Stop Notices, which give councils more freedom to take early and decisive action against unauthorised sites and encampments. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/07/2014 answer text <p>Earlier this month, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) published guidance on the modification of blood lipids (cholesterol) for the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD).</p><p> </p><p>The guidance recognises the place of statins in the primary prevention of CVD. However, it does not propose that statins should be used instead of the lifestyle adjustments that people at risk of CVD need to make — such as stopping smoking, being more active, drinking less alcohol, eating more healthily and losing weight.</p><p> </p><p>The guidance encourages general practitioners to fully explore with their patients the ways in which people can reduce their risk of CVD, presenting all the options promoted by NICE’s guidance, including lifestyle changes, and to allow patients to make their own decisions.</p><p> </p> answering member printed Earl Howe question first answered 29/07/2014 11:49:51 answering member 2000 label Biography information for Earl Howe
