star this property answer text <p /> <p>From April 2010 Local Criminal Justice Boards (LCJBs) took responsibility for the governance and performance management of the 143 accredited Specialist Domestic Violence Courts (SDVCs) across England and Wales. As of March 2014 there were 137 accredited SDVCs. However, the closure of SDVCs in some areas does not necessarily mean that provision in that area has ceased, as many of the SDVC systems cover a number of courthouses. Closure of an SDVC in one courthouse would simply mean that the case would be heard in another accredited courthouse within the Local Justice Area.</p><p> </p><p>HMCTS remains committed to a partnership approach to supporting domestic violence victims going through the Criminal Justice Process.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p /> <p>My department does not collect data on the number of Local Authority funerals.</p><p> </p><p>The Social Fund Funeral Payment scheme continues to provide help towards a simple, respectful, low-cost funeral and in 2013/14, over 33,000 awards were made worth £44.7 million, with an average award of £1,347.</p><p> </p><p>Social Fund Budgeting Loans are also available to those on income related benefits to cover costs relating to funeral expenses.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p /> <p>On 12 March 2014 the Justice Secretary informed the House that G4S had agreed to repay £108.9m owed to Government on the company’s electronic monitoring contract and on two contracts for facilities management in the courts. This followed the Justice Secretary’s announcement on 19 December 2013 that Serco had agreed to repay £70.5m owed on the company’s electronic monitoring and prisoner escort contracts.</p><p> </p><p>The sums in question also included provision for the direct costs to Government arising from these matters.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Both companies have repaid all money requested in accordance with the settlement agreements.</p><p> </p><p>We are not aware of any outstanding debts owed to this Department by the companies. We are managing all MoJ contracts robustly and would take swift action to recover any debt owed should we become aware of such an issue.</p> more like this
